They traded PG for peanuts.
And they want me to believe Masai couldn't get it done. :rudy:

shyt was a work from the start.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander isn't peanuts and draft picks are trade assets. We've seen what the Celtics could've done with them. Nobody want Westbrook's contract and OKC is going in rebuild mode once Westbrick is gone. Masai is limited with young players, no draft picks and has expiring contracts. Why would he add a 4 year contract with $171 remaining on it.

How long do you think it will take to approve the new arena?

yup which is why they will be ok with unloading westbrick, gilgeous
gilgeous is 6'6 moves like a gazelle shot nearly 50% from the floor and 37% from three

Salary doesn’t match so one of Ibaka or Gasol or Lowry would’ve been part of the deal too right? He was right to turn it down then

Uncle Dennis was talking about leaving openly during the playoff run and no one reported :hhh:

Even that was a change. During the playoffs, and even the Finals, sources indicate Kawhi and his adviser and uncle Dennis Robertson were focused on the Clippers, even as Toronto’s championship run unfolded. During the playoffs Robertson was overheard more than once in the post-game back-hall melees talking about leaving; even after Game 4 in Philadelphia, where Kawhi made the first of two shots in the series to save the season, and during the Finals. The Clippers planned to pair Kawhi with 76ers wing and Kawhi’s friend, Jimmy Butler, and the Kawhi camp gauged Butler’s interest repeatedly. Sources indicate they were in contact even after the NBA Finals.

The title closed the gap. When Butler decided to sign with Miami instead when free agency opened, it seemed like a blow to the Clippers. Sources indicate Kawhi was genuinely undecided at the time; he wasn’t ready to leave Toronto yet. By Thursday night, sources say the Clippers were telling people in the league they thought Kawhi was going back to Toronto.
