Can't wait to see the draft thursday and hear "Congratulations to your NBA champions Toronto Raptors..." after so many years of being a treadmill team and even failing to tank from the early 2000s to the early 2010s. Draft season usually starts in April for the Raps and they're the champs

Check my longer recap describing the same thing. It was stunning how different the crowd mood was between the two. Went from family friendly genuine fun to the Hunger Games with weed clouds in no time.

I first was at Armoury St. and people were already cutting in and out and climbing things @ 11am.

I walked back around to NSP around 2pm and it went from bad to worse. And they still didn't arrive yet.

Long line-ups at hotdog vendors, forced me to walk to Dundas square to eat and relax.

No first round pick this year, but I'm confident Masai could do more with pick #59 than Colangelo could ever do at pick #1, 2 or 3.

Plenty of Canadian prospects will be available at the end of the 2nd too. @Box Factory

Lindell Wigginton, Mariol Shayok, OShae Brisette and Simi shyttu will probably all be there. They worked out all of these guys except for Mariol Shayok, and Shayok did well at the Portsmouth, G-League Combine and NBA Combine. The rest, not so much.

Raps will enter next season with 3 guys in the top 12 undrafted. Miller, van vleet and Boucher and a second round pick in Powell and gasol and if they resign Danny green a third.

No first round pick this year, but I'm confident Masai could do more with pick #59 than Colangelo could ever do at pick #1, 2 or 3.

Plenty of Canadian prospects will be available at the end of the 2nd too. @Box Factory

Now that Nurse is the national team head coach, I wonder if Boucher will get on the team

God, I hope they don't bring back ANY CIS guys...no more token white CIS faces on the squad. That was the one thing that pissed me off about the national program

I hope with nurse a nba champion and basketball interest at an all time high it should be cream of the crop. Sponsorship dollars games on tsn and sportsnet and a full cdn squad. No more scrubb brothers, no heslip, pangos, no doornekamp

I hated that those guys were part of the squad. The Scrubbs were there because of Dave Smart, they couldn't even bring the ball up without turning it over in summer league! They might've been the worst players I've ever watched at summer league. Couldn't bring the ball up, couldn't defend anyone, turned it over every time.

Same with Doornekamp, couldn't even get 5 minutes without fumbling and getting blown by on defense. Heslip was there because he was Triano's nephew. Pangos was the only white guy who at least played well in the games, but there's no need for him now when there's so many Canadian guards in the league.

I like Simi alot. My "Nik Stauskas is a 6'6 Steph Curry" comparision for him is a faster Chris Webber

I think Simi is undervalued too. It was only a year ago that he was projected in the top 20.

Nik has had an unfortunate career, but he keeps getting paid. Seems to getting "on track" every season since his sophomore year, then he just falls right back down to earth.

I'm a fan of Lindell Wigginton, I think there's a definite role for him in the league. Clearly has the talent to be a 1st rounder, has great ball handling skills and is a tough defender. He's kind of small for a combo guard though, and he's gotta improve his decision making. Saw him pass into a crowd far too often when I watched him play.

Probably not. Super raw, already has foot problems and lost 30 pounds during his recovery. If you want a late 1st, you're going to have to take on a bad contract to get it.
