regardless of what happened, the heat the crowds. One of my best birthdays ever, I'll always remember this day until I die, when I saw that trophy it became real to me dammit :blessed:. No better feeling in the world than loving sports and your team being the CHAMP!!

I had little kids beside me and they were shouting out eric moreland on the bus when it came by, reminded me of a kid growig up when i went to malvern mall with my dad waiting 3 hours to get bum ass danny cox autograph.

Sick pics. On lakeshore you were able to walk along as the bus drove?

Cause by where I was people were stuck to each other no way to move. Impatient people, claustrophobic people and those with strollers shouldn’t be coming. I’m a very patient person so I won’t cause a problem if someone bumps into me or hits a shoe but there are plenty of those out there

In my opinion those who are hanging on traffic lights, breaking police cars and causing the most ruckus ain’t even actual fans, just people wanting to cause ruckus lol

Can't wait to see the draft thursday and hear "Congratulations to your NBA champions Toronto Raptors..." after so many years of being a treadmill team and even failing to tank from the early 2000s to the early 2010s. Draft season usually starts in April for the Raps and they're the champs:wow:

Thugged it out at City Hall and never doing that shyt again. All the people that got trampled, the we want water chants :heh:, a man with mad dandruff passing out and no one wanting to touch him because he was flaking up the place:heh:, the man with dreads claiming to be media but all he had was an iPhone 5 on a selfie stick. Too many characters. Hell of an experience. Longest parade ever though.

Biked down to the ex and caught the players at the beginning of the parade, before they hit lakeshore. It was dope and definitely an experience. Might have stayed with them for the beginning of lakeshore but I was with my GF's fam so...

Definitely wanted no parts of downtown and I'm glad I avoided it. Was able to move, get in, enjoy the festivities, get out. phuuuuuck waiting for 10 hours standing lol.

We're lucky that only a couple people were injured in the stampede. If things were a little different... bare fatalities could've happened.

Was at the very start of the parade at Exhibition Place. Followed the floats all the way below the Gardiner for well over an hour, it was an incredible stroll. Friendly crowd of all ages, races, classes etc.

At some point decided I’d split from parade route and walk down to Nathan Phillips Square to catch them as they arrive there. Somehow forced my way into the square through the Queen Street direction which was already jam packed with people climbing on top every surface. I hoped a few fences and made it in, right behind the Toronto sign. I immediately noticed a very drastic shift in crowd and mood compared to the parade route.

The Square crowd was restless, angry, and accompanied with permanent cloud of weed smoke :heh: Stuck in there jammed like sardines for hours as they kept replaying same playlist and lying that the players will arrive shortly.

At some point first human stampede came my way, was literally at epicenter. Never seen nothing like it. It was a human avalanche, so large, fast, and powerful and can be heard from a distance but could not be evaded. At certain point there was no more room for people to run to and a crush was very near. It took yelling and reassuring for people to chill and breathe to avoid that. Eventually the crowd begins to separate and you see a sea of shoes bags and other lost items. At this point I’m tryna take stock of what happened with my boy and we decide to sit up on the concrete ledge next to the parking stairs. Five minutes later while everyone is still catching their breath it happens again. This time I was elevated and avoided the worst. At this point crowd energy and enthusiasm was completely sapped.

All that being said, the parade route was incredible and I have no regrets. Let’s hope we get a shot at repeating :wow:

Lakeshore was much more controlled and civil than City Hall.

Mad weed smoke everywhere though....Mostly black people lighting up and drinking too.:francis:
Check my longer recap describing the same thing. It was stunning how different the crowd mood was between the two. Went from family friendly genuine fun to the Hunger Games with weed clouds in no time.

I'm still salty they took Araujo instead of iguodala :mjlol: he almost killed them in game 6 this many years later.

It's like the Rask trade and him being great vs. the Leafs these past 2 playoffs all these years later :snoop:

That era of Toronto sports was insanely hopeless :mindblown: :deadmanny:

from all accounts and looking at instagram and twitter photos and videos people in the square lost.

The rest of us were drinking water, eating food, getting great photos, daps, handshakes, autographs could catch up with the ford raptor trucks and double decker buses on numerous occasions. No one passed out etc
