They weren't trying to murder him though? It was a scuffle over authority on Zeemo that ended with Walker on his knees being spared. :gucci:

Outside of the rainbow brigade, this forum had the most nonsense ass critcisms for shows with black leads.
Watch it again. There were several attacks that Walker just barely stopped with the shield, or Sam at the end. Determined spear thrusts to the heart or face only have one intended result.

I mean, it's not a fact that all white people are mad. Perhaps those that are inclined to bytch on the internet....but, Disney wouldn't be pushing politics in all their shows if it wasn't profitable, and it wouldn't be profitable if all white people were mad. It probably wouldnt be profitable if even half of white people were instantly mad.

I would argue that both this show and Wandavision sacrificed their characters, and logical/coherent story telling in order to capitalize on the political angle, but I could see that being a worthwhile trade-off. I don't think it's too much to ask if that they do both, though.

While it's not a fact that all white people are mad, it's probably fair to say that most of the criticisms are coming from white people, and they're for the race issues. I absolutely fukking positively loved the show, but it has it's issues. Issues that are probably there, if true, because aspects of the story were cut from the show. Issues that do deserve critique. The same people complaining would still be complaining, because the issue is one thing. We've seen it when Miles Morales was introduced in the comics. We've seen it before Black Panther came out, and they were like, "I don't see the big deal. He's black. Wow. You guys had Blade 20 years ago. Isn't that enough?"

What's strange is that Hayward, who was the director of a US government agency, was the evil bad guy for not following the accords in his efforts to stop a magical slave driver...while at the same time the government is hiring Sam and Bucky....of all people...as "free agents".
In both shows the accords are enforced exactly opposite to their original intention in order to make the plot work.

That's exactly how the accords are supposed to work. "You only do what we say, and fight who we say when we say it. Anything outside of that is a violation." This is an argument that was discussed briefly in Civil War.

Right.
So, how could the accords restrict someone who is the director of a US government agency?
Also, Sam...a "free agent" who specifically refused to sign the accords is allowed to bring Bucky along for the ride and break people out of prison?

Does a show/movie agreeing with your politics make it automatically good?

Luke Cage’s Blackness Is Hurting People’s Feelings
Netflix’s new Marvel Universe show, Luke Cage, is black. It’s blackity black black on a tray of black a$$ blackness. While this is incredibly awesome for most of us, there are some (white) people who are bothered by the show’s blackness. Sorry not sorry.

Let’s Laugh At The White People Who Are Mad At How Black ‘Luke Cage’ Is
