They coulda been a little less heavy handed with Walker's fall. Steve kinda went AWOL on the government so they would have made sure the next Cap would be far less likely to do so. They would have picked someone who did some bullshyt following orders and didn't buck the system. Show how the military picked an attack dog they screwed up and dumped on the curb, then the scene where he screams you made me would have more weight with the audience.

Can someone explain to me why everyone is declaring the Thunderbolts are on the horizon since Val Allegra has shown up and had a convo with Walker??? When was the US Agent ever affiliated with the Thunderbolts or Dark Avengers? Someone clue me in :jbhmm:

I get that, and I understand why with Zemo and Ross being around that the Thunderbolts could be a possibility, I was just confused on how US Agent fit in that thoery and now Im seeing its just ppl doing speculation and throwing characters in the mix based on their character arcs and how they would fit into the Thunderbolts theme :ehh:

from his perspective, he is right lol, he sees America for what it truly was/is

Sam is meant to live up to the idealistic "America" and the symbol that comes with it ... burden just heavier for obv reason

even tho they ain't diving all the way in to the subject, i like that for once Disney isnt shying away from it completely
The showrunner said he was really influenced by Coogler's Black Panther. Marvel seems good with not shying away from stuff lately. :ehh:

As long as Sam's new suit gets that +50 vibranium defense boost he should be good, no need for a supersoldier serum:hubie:

Throw in summa dat kinetic absorbtion/redirection tech panther had on deck

High tech HUD, ummmm, summa them fancy Wakanda surveillance discs/Grenades and that magnetized wrist joint to recall the shield like Steve had and

Viola
You got yourself a Captain Falcon ready for anything in these MCU streets

New Captain America is more like CACtain America. Get this peckerwood outta here. :francis:

Overall though I have to give Disney some props because this show didn't back away from the burden of being a Black American superhero and I understand why Sam didn't want to take on the mantle of Captain America, it's loaded in so many ways.

The way I looked at it is Fontaine is basically an even more morally flexible Nick Fury and they're reverse engineering the Avengers.

Walker is their Cap
Zemo - seemingly having a bunch of money - looks to be their Stark.
I don't know if Abomination is coming back for She-Hulk, but he'd probably be a good pick for their version of Hulk, unless they're going all in on Ross.
Loki - post his own show could be their Thor.

I'm just shooting in the dark though :manny:

Adamantium is a lot harder to deal with chemically and is heavy as hell
Plus it’s weaker

:whoa:

Vibranium's characteristically perceived strength in the comics is not primarily about toughness of the material.

The resistance of vibranium to damage in the comics is due to its ability to absorb large amounts of kinetic energy.

In the MCU they mix it up, and they mix it up inconsistently. Sometimes the shield absorbs kinetic energy (when Thor struck the shield in Avengers 1) sometimes it does not (when a Chitauri bomb exploded in an office, throwing cap out of the window and on to a car).

-

Cap's shield in the comics is made of adamantium and vibranium.

Thanos showed that his weapon in endgame was at least as strong as MCU vibranium.

I am not sure how they will clean that up, if at all.
