Excuse my ignorance cause I'm haven't skimmed through the thread yet and I don't do the whole "this a c00n, that a c00n" thing on here but did Isaiah call Sam a c00n for trying to being the next Cap?
Isaiah told Sam "no self-respecting black man would want to be Captain America." Interpret that however you will...

John being discharged by the Army I felt was a LITTLE too soon. He’s their great white hope and its not like he killed some innocent kid or some shyt. He killed a TERRORIST who was just a minute earlier fighting to death with him. In real life he would definitely have been given leeway from the Government, especially as their newly christened Captain America. You COULD say that things have “changed” since the blip but that rang a little hollow to me.

It made sense to me. The video was of a guy saying it wasn’t me and being bludgeoned to death.

This is the same government preaching the Sokovia accords now having its soldier killing an unarmed man pleading for mercy on foreign soil. You can’t really demote a guy from Captain America to just a soldier again.

Sam said it in episode 2. Walker had rules of engagement to follow while he and Bucky could play it loose.

Walker was already off the books going to Europe but he thought the ends justified the means.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I know the flag smashers are supposed to be this poetically righteous and tragic group but it's fukk them for me.

Just a bunch of globalist extremist kids with some superpowers running around wreaking havoc. Their fight is pointless and never going to realistically bear any fruit.

"One world, one people" :mjlol:

Even the wakandans understand that you're supposed to prioritize your own race of people and uphold your own culture. That kumbaya everybody across the world holding hand shyt isn't realistic. It's silly idealism

Imagine after the snap you move to brazil. U start a new life, bought a house and living your life for 5 years.

Then all of a sudden, you're being told you have to leave and go back to America. All your shyt gets taken and you're put in a refugee camp.

I forgot he disobeyed orders going to Europe.:ohhh:

But again. Walker I presume would have proof that the dude he was fighting was a serum pumping terrorist. Just because he was screaming “It wasn’t me” don’t mean shyt when he was JUST fighting with him a moment ago. Black men hold their hands up in surrender and beg not to be shot and cops still murder them and keep their jobs more often than not. You’d think the FRESHLY MINTED Captain America would be given some leeway as we all know the American Government would rather double down in support of a white man than admit he was wrong. Discharging him and taking the mantle away just seems, for that particular incident in which a fellow decorated war veteran was killed, unrealistic.

But fukk it i’ll rock with it. I get what they were trying to portray.

Anthony Mackie is a VERY good actor I have no idea why the Coli has to go out of their way to bring a black man down. He’s not Denzel or Chadwick Boseman level but he’s definitely above serviceable.

Ep 5. 10m52s - 10m54s: what is that look on Mackie's face supposed to signify? What emotional state?

American Cops killing Americans on American soil.

American soldiers killing terrorist in foreign soil is a different ballgame.Military will definitely prefer to sweep that under the rug. Abu Gharib soldiers got shoved aside to avoid further embarrassment.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
This was another great episode. It feels like it's building towards something. I loved the symbolism of Bucky dropping a bloodied shield by Sam's head while he's on his back, wounded....and then Sam rolled over to slowly lift it up with great pain. Fire! I did a little fist pump when Sam walked away from his broken wings and says "keep them". I really enjoyed Bucky and Sam's conversation about the shield, and I'm glad Bucky acknowledged the difficult position Sam is in. But what's up with Sam talking about Steve is gone. Is Steve dead in this universe? They better answer that. And is me or is Bucky dipping his toes in the chocolate. I'm getting vibes between him and Ayo and Sam's sister too. Sam even told him to stop flirting with Sarah. lol. The Wakandans done turned Bucky out.Interesting scene between Walker & Lemar's family. He lied though because Karli killed Lemar not the guy Walker killed. I want to hate Walker, but there's some compelling truth in his circumstance that's hard to dismiss, when he said "you built me", I felt that. Because the government does do that to soldiers and then discards them just like they did here. When Isaiah said "They will never let a Black man be Captain America, & even if they did, no self-respecting Black man would want it." The gauntlet was thrown. That was the realest conversations the MCU has written. I'm so glad they came back to Isaiah. To have Sam talking to him like this & his story echoing so many Black folks who have been experimented.... They were dropping truth bombs tonight. That was everything I wanted from this show. Great dialogue all around in this episode. I also loved Sam's Rocky!training montage. All that was missing is a hype 80's song. Sam was looking good too.:shaq:

But seriously, what's in the box? lol. A suit? New wings? And oh god, Walker is making his own shield? :snoop:

Anyway, this episode is a solid A.
