I'm kind of annoyed how big stupid and ignorant sheltered from reality that they made Falcon look in the earlier episodes.

Am I the only one not feeling the silly fishing boat subplot, too? It feels very dumbed down and not very interesting or original. It feels like I'veseen this before a million times and it feels so token. I was really excited for Falcon and I feel really let down with his characters moment being the low point of the show.

I'm also not buying how Avengers are just working for free when they all get what they want at any convenience. Especially, after they made peace with Tony and reunited the Avengers. Like damn... Call Pepper and she'll probably buy the bank and save your business. I hate white savior shyt, but at the same time... This plot just feels tacked out and I wanted something more engaging with Falcon personal life like his legacy and etc.

He has been compared and contrasted with Steve (and deemed worse) by the MCU all along. That Steve-ish -ness that you refer to afflicts him because the MCU wrote it that way. Yet somehow you suggest that what they write has to make sense to you.

"When do we start [boss]"
"I need a new set of lungs"
"Don't look at me. I do what he does only slower. [I just follow him]"
"Because people that shoot at you eventually shoot at me [lack of agency]"
"Do you people even eat"
"How do I know who the enemy is." - "Because they are shooting at you" doofus.

Defeated by Bucky in 10 seconds. TWICE!!!

Always taking side-man positions and poses on screen.

Walker even called him Cap's "wingman"..

-

Black Widow has been depicted as not being super-human while performing mildly superhuman feats.

This has not marked her out as being Steve-ish or super-ish.

The MCU's approach (so far) has been to avoid addressing it and to leave it as an open question.

They are quite capable of doing the same thing with Falcon.

He has to find some way to get over his side-man status after all.

-

As a (singular) writer you are not the arbiter of what makes sense or not. There is no constraint on the MCU to dovetail with your sense of what makes sense.

It's irrelevant.

Did the MCU's track history of making him a side-man make narrative sense to you?

Yes: Then the flip up makes no narrative sense.

No: Then what the MCU writes doesn't have to make sense to you.

-

I am calling an end to responding to the side-man supporting twaddle.

Falcon could be readily beaten by any Avenger apart from maybe Hawkeye, so he doesn't have it physically.

He has not shown the character, experience or acumen to lead mentally.

The man with the quip-py jokey snide disposition in Civil War (when adults were talking) is going to be a leader?

Even Rhodes has been developed into a better leader than Falcon.

And then you have the acting.

Have you watched any of this show?
You have no wherewithal about character build whatsoever.
The shyt you talembout that needs to occurs, is occurring in this series.

... i don't hate John Walker :yeshrug:

John Walker is an analog for your average cop/imperialist race soldier.

Anybody sympathizing with him would also sympathize with a lot of these cops that get caught up in police brutality situations. He's got some naiveté, wants to do 'good', and be the best cog in the system that he can possibly be, ethics be dammed.

So I am right :salute:

Save your flimsy arguments for someone else.

When was sam even in comic history by timeline.
Given as much this quick?

You dudes be talking but forget.
I know you don't know comics like that and not trained.

Y'all just b running y'all mouths but never review shyt. Simply because you not great at the topic.
Yet just wanna run your mouth and be viewed like background fake chants piped in.
When i read your rant.
on the dialectic of being a black comic creator.
Plus and or the creation of content for a black character.
Then you can talk.

Right now you running your mouth and i know you do not adept at comics posting what you posted. I hope you do not work for disney or marvel. If so that explains alot.

you don’t think standing on his own without that shyt gives him the platform to get over his side man status?

Nahhhhhhhh, not at all. Because he hasn't really changed. Does change HAVE to mean becoming enhanced? Not necessarily. But Sam Wilson as we know him is not really for that Shield or that mantle.

He's a good soldier, a good man but he has not truly unlocked his ability to lead as of yet. Being a black man in America and putting a literal target on your back as the symbol for a country, one that is imperialistic in nature is a hell of a lot to ask. But so is jumping on a fukking grenade.

Sam is unable to make the sacrifice play as of yet. Once he is, he'll be worthy of the mantle and an enhancement...

The thing is, as Zemo pointed out, anybody who WANTS to take the serum is already trending toward authoritarianism. Steve is an exception because he didn't ask for the power, it was given to him by someone who knew what it would do to someone who already had that much compassion and bravery.
