before yesterday, i figured this would be a decent upgrade from the first game, with a modest bump in the visuals and a couple tweaks to the gameplay.

after the trailer, assuming it’s a faithful representation of the gameplay, this is now a strong contender for GOTY. hard to imagine a sequel to a game based on a marvel superhero could steal the thunder from the latest zelda and the critically acclaimed follow-up to one of the greatest CRPGS ever made, but this might just do it.
