NOBODY is going to buy an Xbox solely for a Blade game. ACG was talking about this on their podcast and usually if a game is console exclusive they mention that shyt all over the trailer and ads. It is kinda suspect that there were no platforms mentioned at all

I do believe it is exclusive but it is weird that they won’t say it is. shyt, they go out of their way to make sure everyone knows persona and yakuza games are day 1 on gamepass and try their hardest to make you believe it is exclusive with delayed confirmation of multiplatform releases baked into marketing deals.

I think in gaming there is a bit more appeal with the playstation fanbase for more “mature” games, the fact that SM2 didn’t break God of War Ragnarok or TLOU2’s first week sales tell me that a “mature” wolverine game even though less popular of an IP than SM will ring off more with this demographic of gamers.

Absolutely not. Spiderman as a brand is possibly the biggest name in superhero games. Wolverine will do very well sales wise but it’s not touching Spiderman 2.

I dont think brand power in general and game selling potential are the same thing. Spider-Man for years struggled to sell games, until Sony got the licensing and put a big budget into them.

Look at Avatar it’s a two billion dollar movie series, as of just this year too. It looks like it’s pretty much going to flop as a big budget AAA game. Not everything directly translates from one mediums popularity to another. Spider-Man still has recognition in games which is why it still has potential to sell so much, but I dont think its a 1:1

God of War is nowhere near spider-man as a brand and it maintains a small lead in sales over it in gaming
