I'm just saying that no one cared about this distinction before Redfall dropped
I certainly did

Harvey Smith is the Creator/Director of both Dishonred games and Prey.
Harvey Smith
Dinga was credited as a designer on Dishonored 2.
He was Director of some of the Wolfenstien games.
Obviously both studios work collaboratively.
But again. The Creator and Director of the Dishonored series is not working on Deathloop. By his own words he’s working with the Dishonred and Prey team on Redfall.
And again………
Can't wait for BladefallThese nikkas actually argued with me for two pages about that too
In the 90s this was the case, I think now and after several failed wolverine movies its ironman
Logan was the only comic book movie equal to the dark knight in the fans eyes.
You're thinking I terms of movies, but Wolverine is definitely a top 5 most popular comic book character.
Logan (2017) | Rotten Tomatoes
In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) at a remote outpost on the Mexican border. His plan to hide from the outside world gets upended when he meets a young mutant (Dafne Keen) who is very much like him. Logan must now protect the girl...www.rottentomatoes.com
Definitely top 5 for sure, Logan did really good for them Below Ironman 3 but successful nonetheless.
Logan was rated R, it's not fair to compare it to the Disney family movies. It's the highest earning R rated film ever. You both make valid points but, yea, there is a difference between critical acclaim/fanboy noise/etc, and popularity.
X-men are super popular in their habitat. But the elephant in the room for the x-men since the 90s is that theyve been suffering from big fish in a small pond syndrome.
i.e., Logan is seen as Dark Knight level, but ultimately:
The X-Men had 15 years of movies with their own branching cinematic universe and several well-received movies + beloved actors (Hugh Jackman, Pat Stewart, etc), yet their popularity in the comics never carried over to mainstream movies like that.
- Dark Knight Rises (3rd film in the series) did 1.1 billion. DK did 1 billion
- Ironman 3 did 1.2 billion
- Sam Raimi Spider-Man 3 did 895 million
- Logan (3rd film in the series) did 620 million. The prior Wolverine movie did 400m total.
Even games like the 1993 X-Men game, as legendary as it is perceived, was the 16th highest selling Sega Genesis game. Not bad but not mind blowing. X-Men Legends sold well across PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube, but was just the 74th highest selling game for that era. Again, not bad but not mind blowing.
Now all that may change for this generation with the Insomniac and inevitable Disney stimulus (tho they’ve been mid lately) but time will tell.
Tbf, I can compare it to Deadpool 1 & 2, both r-rated and both easily outperformed Logan to become the highest earning r-rated films despite being a lesser known character. And then Joker, also r-rated, which grossed 1 billion. None of the aformeentioned being Disney family films.Logan was rated R, it's not fair to compare it to the Disney family movies. It's the highest earning R rated film ever.
You can't judge popularity off movie earnings alone, Xmen has gotten mostly bad movies that the fans hate, which reflect in the earnings. Both amazing spiderman movies under performed, mainly because they weren't good movies, and spiderman is the most popular marvel character.
When they said it was 3rd person.
