I think if they turned down some of the particle shyt for consoles then it'd ease up quite a few problems across the board.Exactly. A lot of folks can't tell art from graphics and just the same, don't always know what an actual glitch is either. I constantly have to explain both to my wife, but she's super casual about games and shyt in general tho and just very very casually plays a select few games.
Going into photo mode or pausing the game can let you see how great the graphics are, especially in 4k mode, which I'm playing in for the story mode at least and on PS4 Pro. Hulk's loading screen too is a good example of how detailed the character models actually are.
The thing is, the graphics don't always quite pop as some other highly stylized titles like Ghosts or Horizon, cuz here, they're very intentionally muted with the color palettes is one example. There's also a matter of folks expections/perceptions of comic book shyt in general, which are usually more... cartoony/animated types of style, so one that's going for much more realistic look may put folks off cuz their expectations was for something different aesthetically.
And you hit the nail on people not knowing what they want at times as well. I also haven't ran into any serious glitches, thankfully enough. The few I have have been minor and as you stated, just kinda par the course unfortunately for these style of games, similar to how they are in open world games (I know this isn't a real open world game, but it's type has those sort of inherent problems nonetheless). As for them treating the big issues over time, I'm rather cautiously optimistic about it. I think the game is going to do well enough and has too many big names in the hat to just let shyt ride....provided the game does do well (I think it already is slated to do so just off name, beta participation and casual awareness alone tho).
I'm still feeling the gameplay but I think towards end game/harder content you HAVE to play a certain way - and if you step outside of those lines at all, you're playing wrong. Its not 'bad', but its kinda like running upper tier stuff in Destiny. In Borderlands, you can get away with a lot of setups. Unless your build is on point and your own playstyle matches, you're just not helping.
I've seen far too many Hulks just sit back and throw rocks
