I understand the drabness you're talking about, as to a degree I even agree with you. It's just that I can see and differentiate great graphics from great art. Some may think that they're the same thing or at least always go hand in hand, but there are times that it doesn't.

I agree 100%

A game can be stylized well but have bad graphics and another game can have good graphics but be stylized terribly.

It seems like this game is really poor but reviewers are afraid to come out and say that the game isn't good because they don't want to have a negative relationship with Square.

it’s like these nikkas is playing a different game :mindblown:

Yes easily

I don't know what setup you all are playing on but as someone that has played most of the "pretty" and popular games this one by far looks the best on console.

Again I'm playing on Xbox 1 in 4k HDR on a OLED in 4k mode so :manny:

Game looks pretty much like this (non wide screen, watch in 4k if you can)

Playing on brutal is actually ruff before you get gear, you'll probably get that time out of it... especially with the terrible load time screens *smh*

But brutal is the only way to play imo:manny:

At power 133 finally and

Enemies hit different now

I think its more of yet another example of people not knowing what they want. I'm starting to trust streamers more than reviewers in general though. At least they have to be upfront with their shilling.

I think I've got over 20+ hours now and I've had one real glitch - I know that ain't everyone, but some of the stuff people are complaining about aren't even glitches. Saw a whole ass rant about not being able to hit an enemy and that enemy can't be hit until you parry him first. shyt like that lol

There's definitely some glitches out there but its basically to be expected with any live service game at launch. Destiny been at this for 5+ years now and they still hit issues with just expansions. The games are bigger and more flexible than most so they come with a different set of problems. I'm more concerned with how quickly they fix them. That's the real dealbreaker...

And its not like I've been riding for this game either. I was expecting this to be a steaming pile of shyt until I played the beta. I've done a 180

Yeah, the graphics in this game are crazy... After finishing Tsushima, this is like the polar opposite. The art and design in Ghost of Tsushima was so incredible that most couldn't even tell how many shortcuts they were taking and bandaids they were stacking. Then here? You've got some incredible stuff going on from effects to facial animations to lighting hitting the plates of Iron Man's armor differently - but most of the design choices are just not hitting. And the enemies are largely over-designed too.

I was kinda "this is pretty good" until I saw some of the final missions. Yeah, its clear they can cook :hubie:

You mean to tell me you said all that shyt earlier about the game being short as if you'd beaten it already where you're clearly saying right now that you haven't yet?!:mjlol::stopitslime:

Exactly. A lot of folks can't tell art from graphics and just the same, don't always know what an actual glitch is either. I constantly have to explain both to my wife, but she's super casual about games and shyt in general tho and just very very casually plays a select few games.

Going into photo mode or pausing the game can let you see how great the graphics are, especially in 4k mode, which I'm playing in for the story mode at least and on PS4 Pro. Hulk's loading screen too is a good example of how detailed the character models actually are.

The thing is, the graphics don't always quite pop as some other highly stylized titles like Ghosts or Horizon, cuz here, they're very intentionally muted with the color palettes is one example. There's also a matter of folks expections/perceptions of comic book shyt in general, which are usually more... cartoony/animated types of style, so one that's going for much more realistic look may put folks off cuz their expectations was for something different aesthetically.

And you hit the nail on people not knowing what they want at times as well. I also haven't ran into any serious glitches, thankfully enough. The few I have have been minor and as you stated, just kinda par the course unfortunately for these style of games, similar to how they are in open world games (I know this isn't a real open world game, but it's type has those sort of inherent problems nonetheless). As for them treating the big issues over time, I'm rather cautiously optimistic about it. I think the game is going to do well enough and has too many big names in the hat to just let shyt ride....provided the game does do well (I think it already is slated to do so just off name, beta participation and casual awareness alone tho).
