Learning to control my guys better... dodging and parrying

Still only played with mostly Hulk but figuring out how to balance attacks, when to use specials, etc.

Got the HARM system and started learning even more. Second time playing with Iron Man and its fun now that I understand light attacks and how to parry. Gonna need more playing time though.

I think the Combat system is a lil bit more advanced than Spidermans so far. Learning how to upgrade gear which helps me out more.

Played the BETA a bunch I think it's fun due to the combat but this seems like a game you wait and cop the game of the year edition for a discount.

I haven't played the beta but ultimately I don't care about the main characters or their story, so for me it comes down to how soon the others (BP specifically) become available post-launch and what kind of content they have.

If the game is simply "good" but he's 6 months down the line DLC then yea, I'll wait.

For those that got a chance to play the game how does the combat engine compare to other games like GOW,GOT, Spiderman, etc? I'm expecting it to be much easier than From Software/Nioh games.

So I actually like the game alot, but it's because of the combat and the attention to detail of how the characters would behave and move in combat.


My biggest gripe about the games are.

-story

Feels very wanna be, I guess what I mean by that is it's trying to serious and cool while trying to be superhero and funny.

Comes off really cheesy, also I just don't really care... They don't make the story very interesting, it's a theme that even non comic book fans have seen more than a few times.


- LOAD TIMES

As someone that's playing the game on brutal and dying alot the load times are atrocious, hope that gets cleaned up.



The rest of the game is great outside of some glitches here and there.

Combat is deeper and better than Batman or Spiderman and that's just with a couple skill points used and basic gear.

It's mildly similar to batman/Spiderman, since it has the whole two-button finisher thing and a lil bit of a counter system in effect, tho not as leaned on as much as those games (it's there for sure and seems to have possibly even more counter options than either game, but you totally could play w/o it just fine, unlike those games). The variety of upgrade system shows promise to be more extensive than either of those games tho.

Ioenno why you would bring From Software/Nioh type games into the discussion. World of difference of game types, fool.

I imagine load times won't be an issue on PS5. Like most games with difficutly settings, I don't like that it's primarily just a by the numbers increase in difficulty. Rather than different tactics and different enemy types and more agression with higher difficulties, they just make it to where enemy attacks take like damn near half your life per hit.

Cross saves, you mean between different systems? Outside of PS4 to PS5, I doubt that. It's definitely in effect for upgrading to next gen platforms tho.
