Ok what's your point? It's not an open world or a shooter
You were talking about not evolving game model and design

Tekken has not changed engine wise. There's a mechanic change here and there(bound, juggle mechanics varying between games) but the engine itself is essentially still Tekken 3

This is why it's really difficult for new players to jump into high level Tekken. You're going up against people that have been playing the same game for almost 2 decades

Graphics aside, this is probably the best fighting game I played since third strike or Mark of the wolves.

Looks like this is going to bomb, and that's very sad.

Capcom really came through on the gameplay front. I mean they really came through.

They do what really matters and they are getting punished for it.

I think it will help them if they would add more popular characters... not having any xmen, doom, black panther (yet) I feel might have hurt them a bit. ..
C/s. Game does look fun but that roster didn't do them any favors.

Obviously i'm a bit biased but i feel Marvel should've took a page from DC's Injustice franchise and just told Capcom "look, just make a Marvel Superheroes: Infinite". That Chris Redfield guy from resident evil? Just build us the Punisher. Haggar? Just make us Luke Cage. Dante? He's been a swagger jacked Blade for the longest, so just give us the OG demon/vampire. Do not make Black Panther dlc, he goes with the main roster, and make us a main story worth a damn. Period.

i don't think anyone mainstream has emotional attachment for these obscure capcom characters like haggar, the midget knight, or the guy with the shopping cart. I'm sure they're classic characters for hardcore capcom enthusiasts.. but for everyone else it's like... ok?

Compounded with the fact that the marvel roster looks weak as hell (and caucasian as hell :mjpls:).

They ain't getting punished for having good gameplay. They are getting punished for shytty DLC practices, lackluster roster, shytty graphics, shytty marketing, and SFV. To competitive marvel players having good gameplay is all we need for us to buy it but to everybody else you got to bring it in all aspects you can't do good in one area and then say fukk it lets not care about the rest of the shyt.

Bruh this shyt bombed on Steam and in the UK. Ultra Street Fighter 2 and Pokken outsold MVCI.
Numbers are out in Japan. Pokken crushed it and it sold under USF II's debut there too.

It's 100% dependant on the US numbers now cause they're not selling shyt anywhere else.

The esports money is real. Casuals don't care about "capcom" games because they're "hard" After making SF5 easy mode they did the right thing by catering this game to the people who are going to play it. They really don't need the casuals with E-sports. The high level play in this game will be great on tv.

This is such a terrible argument. They can sell to casuals and still be the most popular eSports title. You know what at game is completely geared towards casuals in development, sells hand over first and is a very popular eSports title? Smash Bros. You think Nintendo/Sora gives a flying fukk about eSports when developing those games? :heh:
No, they just focus on building a fun game and know the eSports crowd is gonna run towards it anyway like they always do.
And I don't believe that's the crowd they were catering towards anyway. That story mode is a clear answer to Injustice's popularity with Capcom forgetting that the reason Injustice's story mode is so popular is because they NRS put a ridiculous amount of work and huge budget behind it. Capcom cheaped out and are paying the price now.

When has marvel ever been a Japanese game?

Capcom doesn't have money. Without Sony SFV doesn't exist.

Nintendo doesn't support the smash tourney scene and doesn't make money from e sports ‍♂️ When has a smash pot been over $20,000?

These SF5 cats playing for $150,000.

Capcom made a decision to go that way. You don't have to agree with it and it's not even my argument. A lot of you cats are on some I want this, I want that and have no desire to see it from their point of view.

And that's the shame of it man. It's a bunch of self-inflicted wounds.

Game is awesome

If it doesn't sell that sucks because there needs to be another one or at least a bunch more characters added.
