Did anyone really enjoy MvC3 like that? It was cool but the nickel and diming by Capcom to unlock characters was wack so I tossed that game to the bushes.

Thats kind of a fabrication. 2 million sales sounds good when you just say that, but MVC2 made WAYYYYYY more than that. On wikipedia it says the ps3 and 360 port sold 1.4 million. Now lets think about how many Dreamcast sales numbers there were? Then think how many ps2 sales numbers there were? Then think about the actual arcade cabs that flooded the country.
When we think about that then MVC3 was not that big of a success.
This is coming from some1 who preordered n went to a smelly mid night release for MVC3. I liked the game but the narrative that it was successful is a lil off.
Plus better to just look at Street Fighter IV sale numbers. That game sold way more copies than Marvel 3. As much as I love Street Fighter 3 third strike(prob my fav fighter) that shyt did not do numbers like Marvel 2. I bring up Third Strike cause that was from that same era. MVC was bigger than SF.

Straight up and down, a MVC with none of the XMen, especially WOLVERINE is like a Street fighter game with no Ken, Ryu or Chun. It's blasphemous.

I think the speculation that there will be no Xmen characters is wrong. All the recent marvel phone games include x men and marvel characters. Don't think movie rights matter in video games.
