DC had yet to create anything that encompasses their entire universe and highlights most of their best characters the way Marvel Ultimate Alliance has. That game is the GOAT comic book game, word to

A few years later they tried to rip us off with Justice League Heroes.
But it was jyst not as well done. Our engine was too much of a beast. We had refined it from the Fantastic Four games into X-Men Legends, X-Men Legends 2... so it was like the product of the feedback and improvements of like 4 or 5 games. And we were using the full power of the PC then downgrading for console ports... DC was just making straight to console games.
DC tried to just copy-paste the Dark Alliance engine from Dungeons and Dragons real quick to compete... but see D&D is designed to be slow and methodical. Superhero genre is too fast to try and use a D&D engine for.
DC always fukks up cause they continually wanna cut corners and take shortcuts.
Thats what they are doing with their movies at the moment.
Marvel builds to the Avengers over several flcks. They build to the Defenders by puting out Daredevil, Jessica Jones, DD season2, Luke Cage, Ironfist, Punisher, etc. They are big on settinng foundation but DC is impatient. 1 superman flick with mixed reviews then cram the whole league into the next movie.
