it is not an attack of force. it is an attack of guile.

galactus' battery levels have nothing to do with it.

galactus loathes his destructive role in the universe. he was after all previously just "galen".

this is all examined in Thanos mini-series 2003 issue 4 where galactus tries to consume the infinity gems to stop his hunger for destruction.

"But what made Galactus the PERFECT DUPE was his deeply buried SELF-LOATHING, his almost unacknowledged DESIRE to ESCAPE the DESTRUCTIVE ROLE he plays in the universe."

remember: galactus has on occasion stopped consuming inhabited planets (and not just becuase of surfer).

galactus promised richards not to attack earth because of his gratitude.

his has morals and doubts

There’s a friendly neighborhood crime fighter in another universe who could use a family right about now.

…and some rent money.

I know that you're joking; this would be very fitting, actually. The FF appeared in the very first solo Spider-Man comic, and Peter & Johnny (Human Torch) have been best friends in the comics for decades.
The connection between the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man has rarely been explored in any form of media. So I wouldn't mind if the MCU did it :ehh:

Stan and Jack made it the world's greatest comic. Some of it seems corny now because it's was mostly 60s and 70s, but they didn't miss.

Yea this is what i mean when i say it'll be interesting if they can connect with modern audiences or if this will be another blip on the radar.

As far as demographics, we know Johnny is the “charming F-up who gets all the girls” wish-fulfillment aimed at young males. Juxtaposed, we know Reed is the ultimate nerd fantasy (slimmest but smartest/richest guy in any room with the “baddest” chick everyone wants). And ofc we know who Sue is supposed to appeal to.

The cookie cutter versions of Reed and Johnny probably come across as corny or overdone tropes in our modern era… but in simpler times it’s obvious why they’d be a hit.

That said, we’ve seen with MCU Steve Rogers that with the right storytelling you can modernize even the most eye-rolling relics to make them appealing without distorting their core traits. i.e. they didn’t have to make him Captain MAGA.

you missed the byrne run in the 80's then :hhh:

"John Byrne had a highly influential run on the series from 1981 to 1986, taking over the writing and art after the departure of previous creators. His time on the book is regarded as one of the most iconic eras in Fantastic Four history."

more babble from people who have not read the comics ... :camby:

:mjlol: fukk is wrong with you and your garbage reading comprehension

I’m clearly talking about modern movie audiences of the last 20 years spanning three F4 movies that performed mid in the box office, and typical rhetoric that Reed is boring and only “Dr Doom is interesting”.

If your dumbass got your head out your ass, you’d realize I’m defending the IP for crossover to non-neck beard mainstream crowd. How comic readers from the 1980s feel ain’t the point you dumb fukk. And yea, I’ve been reading comics for the past 25+ years

So how you about you get the fukk outta here and mind ya damn business :camby:
