One of my bredrin from back in the day works for WB fairly low down the totem pole on DC properties. We normally shoot the shyt back and forth when announcements like this drop. I hit him up when they started making the announcements. Three hours later, a tumbleweed just rolled through my facebook DM's...

For what it's worth I've been telling him for years that DC should start adapting the Vertigo books - particularly stuff like '100 Bullets', 'Scalped' and 'Y The Last Man' - just to diversify from the tights and cape game, but apparently they won't because they have to give up control on creator owned properties

Who says they have to have the same characters? They already talking about switching out Cap, they have numerous options for replacing Thor, they could go any number of ways. They could transition some of those tv series into movies.

The Batman series stopped because the director wanted to move on, not because DC was tired of making money. Marvel Studios exists solely as a movie company. You think they gonna just close their doors after the 2nd part of that Avengers movie?

Numerous options for Thor? No one wants to see another Thor movie after this next one and no one wants to see sex-changed Thor neither

Name another solo based superhero movie that lasted more than 3 with the same actors, same directors, characters, and etc?

Plus these cats already putting in work in the Avengers, that's like 6-7 super hero movies for Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America .. In addition to guest appearances in others


So read what I'm saying, I THINK they will continue with MCU movies but wrap up the solo movies of the Main avengers
