This. I think they’re entertaining enough on first viewing. I don’t regret seeing the ones that I did. And it’s nice to be a part of the conversation when the big ones (Avengers, Black Panther) come out.

But when the hypes dies down, and you re-watch it all...? That’s when you realize just how shallow so many of them are. Even worse, you start to realize that, story-wise, nothing of consequence ever happens because there’s always going to be another one.

Like, why should I care about Spider-Man dying in Infinity War when I know he’s got another movie coming out this year?

You made the point better than me...rewatching these shyts after the hype wears down is like post but clarity with a build a bear lookin bytch....

Are their only good movies.They still haven't given us anything mind blowingly great yet IMO.

Even tho they have the resources to do so.They're masters at giving you just enough.

Don't see it ever changing, tho.That formula has made them a gazillion dollars.Although

I don't feel like they ever go all out, the MCU is still a fun/eventful/interesting thing.

I'm not a hater nor a stan.i just watch it unfold.

I appreciate their ambition and scale and effort, but most of the movies are disposable like the episodic content they are.

They will be fondly remembered but will never really be great cinema

On topic, most of them are very entertaining, but at the same time most dont have much replay value. Im also more of a character guy, so id watch the worst spiderman/batman movie before watching the best thor movie again (and I lovedRagnorok)

the movies are trash the gimmick is over, before it was impossible to make characters like iron man in the movies or captain america without it looking stupid, so that was always the appeal of these movies, the actually content has always been trash nothing happens in these movies, this imaginary build up is just a teasing to the next movie where nothing happens to move the plot forward
