"Folks, it's been a sad day for us... due to reasons we aren't at liberty to disclose, we have been asked to put a hard stop to all X-Men characters for now," said XM studios. "That means Cable can't be released, and neither can the awesome Sentinel Diorama which we've all been so looking forward to."
What do y'all make of this?:mjpls:
Over the past year they've killed off Wolverine and shut down the Fantastic 4 in their main comics as well...

Marvel out here losing patience with these other companies?:ohhh:

Sounds like a petty but smart business move if you trying to get them movie rights back
Only so long can you make movies about fringe heroes like antman :pachaha:

Would have agreed with you until Guardians came through and

They'll take that 'Ant-Man' summer money in the meantime, but guaranteed - in a safe somewhere in Disney World, next to Walt's cryogenically frozen head, is a full on plan written out for what they would do with the properties when they get them back.

If Fantastic Four isn't a big enough smash to warrant a universe, I can see them going the 'Spider-Man' route with it. X-Men has becoming big enough to be self sustaining. Even through 'Final Stand', so that might never happen with them.

It's too bad. I would love to see a 'Secret Invasion' movie, but it doesn't work unless you have a huge cast of all the iconic characters to draw out the suspense.

It makes sense for them business wise. These Fox movies are now competing with the marvel studios shyt (new mutants comes out a week after black panther) they might as well stop the free advertisement with toy, cartoons etc.

This thread proves what I've been spittin for a minute, tho... comics aren't shyt anymore. They could (and should) just shut down the whole publishing division, then keep it strictly films, animation, and retail.
They could but that would be stupid. Comics are an IP farm for them and still make a healthy profit.
