Facts, they definitely need to pay more vfx companies or create their own.

One of the vfx houses that worked on black panther basically said that marvel has them work on multiple films at a time and they have to prioritize due to the tight schedule. Infinity war was more of a priority and got better cgi.

Can someone explain why Aquaman’s CGI was so good but no other DC or Marvel movie comes close? Why are they not utilizing the 360 degree LCD screen that Mandalorian uses with unreal engine 5?

They use different studios and different teams within those studios and also the director/cinematographer are going to have a lot to do with it.

Aquaman for example was directed by James Wan and he used cutting edge technology to film underwater scenes.

The last few DC movies haven't used a lot of cgi outside of The Suicide Squad but even then they are wearing real costumes. Joker and The Batman were primarily practical effects even when they weren't shooting on location they were using other means than just cgi

Besides F9 and No Time To Die Spiderman: No Way Home and Eternals were the highest budgeted movies. They aren't making movies 'on the cheap'.

They did a movie with no green screens a and physical locations last year for like the first time and got their first rotten tomato and a disappointing a box office number. Critics and general audiences don't reward cinafile sensibilities.
