what people forget is most of those, "classic" movies were not box office smashes. they still live on through cult followings and cable replays, but that classic tag doesn't benefit the studio once the movie leaves theaters. superman made 300mil total run. captain america made that opening weekend.
Marvel can keep pumping out these flicks like a Fast Food joint, however their films will never be

No one is making popular classics anymore. Captain America 2 is probably as good as it gets popcorn flick wise these days.

Its at the point where its mega popular and people hate just to hate. Some of the criticisms are valid, but even the valid ones tend to be so completely overblown its ridiculous. Only Marvel movies I'd really say were just bad....probably Iron Man 2 and 3. In hindsight, Thor 2 really isn't a good film either. Not very enjoyable at all. shyt, I don't remember a single thing about ti lmao. But the rest of them are at the least pretty good movies. Not every movie is or needs to be a classic. Pretty much... I mean no one bats 1.000 when you make more than 1 movie in a series. But overall most of these are good enough to get me to keep watching until the next avengers, and Cap 2 was a surprise home run so its no reason to be bytching right now
