exactly. Plus OP is going after movies that have not aged but a couple of years yet he already is deeming them not classic...I hate to tell him this, but when some of those movies came out above, they were not considered classics upon release...it took years and for some decades;

Basically. I can't watch any of those Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings movies. They might be good and some people might consider them Classics, but I'd rather watch Diners Drive Ins and Dives if those were my only choices

I pretty much consider the majority of Marvel's films to be either good (The Hulk movie), mildly entertaining (the Thor flicks and the first Capt. America) or just downright awful (Iron Man 2 & 3) except for 3 movies: Iron Man, The Avengers and Captain America 2...those movies were great.

Marvel accomplished what they set out to do which was to make movie franchises out of B-listers and C-listers. Everybody thought making an Iron Man film or a movie centered around Captain America would flop or bomb but they've been successful. Hell, I still don't think people realize how much of a train wreck The Avengers could've been. WB has been struggling for the longest with making a Justice League film because pulling off a Superhero team up film is not easy to do. Hearing people call The Avengers safe or vanilla is crazy to me because barely anybody thought Marvel could pull it off.

When you really think about it, Marvel's track record with making franchises is crazy. If Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man do well, their batting average will be

you had me until these: Lord of The Rings, Planet Of The Apes, Harry Potter, OG Superman. imo, those movies aren't classics or great either. if you're a fan of marvel/dc comics then you'll enjoy the movies, just like if you're a fan of lotr or harry potter then you'll enjoy their films as well

the marvel film universe is still young so it'll get more interesting once they bring in more characters and villains to extend the story line. just take it for what it is and enjoy it or ignore it.

Since this thread was made purely to hate I'll add:

I think New Hope is a trash. The only star wars film I can stand to watch is Revenge of the Sith and the Empire Strikes back. RoS purely for its fighting scenes though. New Hope as film is laughable; Luke is lame, the acting is terrible, dialogue is corny, the villains are non threatening, those droids are annoying to watch and listen to. I was finally able to sit through New Hope at 15, when I was younger I would entire fall asleep or walk away. And I like Star Wars

I also think the 70s Superman movies sucked too. I know Returns gets alot of hate for being boring but its nearly beat for beat like the OG Superman flick. Superman 2 is no better. The writers made up shyt just to make up shyt. Everything I dislike about Superman is in those films to: the elitist attitude, the exaggerated human he plays, his stupid disguise, his overall deus ex machina portray.

Not everything needs to be a classic, they make action movies based on their properties that are fun to watch at the movies or at the crib with some friends and beers, I say keep em coming, I rather have more captain america than the pg-13 crap we been calling action movies in the last couple of years.
