Tawky Tawny is actually a thing in DC already - McLaren didn't just pull him out of thin air - he's normally more associated with Shazam though
Ah so he's Sheer Khan from tale spin

The Russo Bros released the best Marvel movie to date IMO. It was a mature, taut thriller and the action/fight choreography is some of the best you'll ever see from the genre...felt like a DC film.I don't know but the Russo Bros did release the best Marvel film since Iron Man with TWS. I think 5hey can work magic and Cap 3 the only Marvel movie I'm looking ford to.
Most DC films aren't like that though. The Russo Bros released the best Marvel movie to date IMO. It was a mature, taut thriller and the action/fight choreography is some of the best you'll ever see from the genre...felt like a DC film.
Iron Man gets a little too much credit; while the first half is pretty strong, the third act wasn't as spectacular as it could've been from an action standpoint.
There was a much better balance of story and action from Cap:TWS.
I've always felt that The Incredible Hulk was better than Stark's first outing.
More times than not, they are. Whether or not theyre well loved by the masses is a different argument. Most DC films aren't like that though.
This console war thread is silly everyone seems to leave out shyt that doesn't help their point.
i dont have a problem with them going in the opposite direction either. in fact business dictates they so in order set themselves apart from their direct competition.Idk homie because Suicide Squad looks different from that. The only thing they both have in common is a bit of an edge but they look like two completely different movies. It's like I said last night, it's not easy to create a universe when you're making movies with different tones and aesthetics but its also not impossible. The only comparable thing, and its not a perfect comparison, would be the james bond flicks. The feel of those movies changed based on the director. Or of course we can just look at the comics and see how a batman comic is different from a wonder woman comic but they both exist in the same world.
I don't have a problem with them going in a opposite direction than marvel and they should. They need to establish their brand and what separates their brand from them so you can't do the same thing because then we'd all be bored to death

but the trailers do have a similar tone. they'd have to for it to make sense for Leto joker or similar villains to appear in future JL movies.
its not like youre contrasting the trailers for SS and antman.
just as marvel has maintained levity in their films, at the end of the day dc is going to maintain darker realism in theirs so they can actually incorporate characters from different films into ones down the line and have it make sense
Flash & Shazam! should be the total opposite in tone when they finally go into production.Which makes sense until you get to someone like Flash or even if Wonder Woman is supposed to be this WW2 epic
Flash & Shazam! should be the total opposite in tone when they finally go into production.
And for me at least, it would be a welcoming change of pace if DC were so bold to show a little variety.
Have you heard of any Captain Marvel prospects yet? I can't find anything on this.I agree. I don't think its necessary that they all have the same tone especially since we don't even know who's directing the flash movie but we do know they were trying to get Lord and Miller to construct the story, which leads me to believe that it was going to have a light touch to it.

He predates tale spin by about 60 years but...okAh so he's Sheer Khan from tale spin

I'm sorry. Should've been clearer...Last rumors I've heard was Angelina Jolie to direct and Charlize Theron to star. Don't know how much validity there is to that but you can say that about all rumors
I'm sorry. Should've been clearer...
I meant the Big Red Cheese complete with baby cape.
But for what it's worth thanks, breh.
