Made no effort to show any sort of regret or remorse for his actions and also shifts the blame to her with the "now views" part.

Might’ve been afraid to say some shyt that might burn him legally but yea even when I first read that I thought he took the wrong approach. Even with the juelzing concerning age and consent, he should’ve just said, “I didn’t think I fukked up, but if I did I apologize...” something like that.

First off, they considered Tessa so no surprise.

Second, he’d be a “get” for NXT, regardless of what we think about his past. If anything, might be better that he debuts while live crowds are still a no go.

Third...might actually be a better idea to put his ass on NXT: UK for a while, to start off with. Maybe work him into NXT here somewhere down the line. Though they Did fire Jack Gallagher for his “Speaking Out” situation so who knows :yeshrug:

NJPW is probably best for dude. Neutral ground, none of the blowback from US fans, and he did that old shyt in the UK.

WWE cutting multiple NXT UK guys after that stuff came out and then hiring Scurll, who was part of the same group with all those dudes, would be some real mixed messages being sent

They re-hired Joseph Conners, after initially firing him when his domestic partner posted pictures of herself covered in bruises and said he was responsible for them. And they re-hired one of the refs who got released after he was in a video where David Starr was saying lewd and unwanted things to a female wrestler on the phone and they were laughing & cutting up behind him. After the initial publicity firings, the WWE legitimately did not give a shyt.

True.

But still if you really friends do you freeze your nicca out that you was deep in your circle? Being a snake dude and be like “Na we was never friends” on some lose my number shyt?

if money is on the line and I ain’t that deep in the game where the risk of taking on a friend who was linked to a mass outing of acts that are considered sexual assault/abuse/grooming won’t hurt me? Yeah, he’s not getting a call back. It is what it is. :yeshrug:

I get it, they’re boys and all breh. But you can’t gamble on somebody with that kind of stigma attached to their name when you’re essentially still in the “starting out” phase. That’s just not good business at the end of the day

shyt, taking money out of it, if one my brehs was out here fukking underage girls, it'd be REAL tough to continue a friendship.

I'd like to say that I'd be receptive to them trying to get their life together and make amends, but diddling young folks is one of those things I struggle to get over.

However, Fightful reported earlier today that Scurll was back in the wrestling world, and a source shared additional details with Fanbyte about what he’ll be doing.

Fightful reported today that Marty Scurll was “backstage at a recent set of New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong tapings” in California and that “We weren’t told if Scurll had any involvement in the content on the show but have been told that he has expressed interest in rejoining the company.” A source with knowledge of the tapings, who requested to remain anonymous, told Fanbyte that Scurll did, in fact, play an on-screen role at these tapings. The source said that Scurll worked at the NJPW Strong tapings on January 22, 2021, and was involved in “a post-match angle” with Rocky Romero.

The source said that while everyone working on NJPW Strong signs an NDA about the content of the tapings, there was no extra secrecy about Scurll’s involvement: “They weren’t trying to hide him.” The source says they were surprised by Scurll’s involvement, saying “I thought we were going to be the company that wasn’t booking these guys to get some buzz. They’re going to get buzz alright, but probably not the kind they’re looking for. And it just reeks of letting things slide because these people are all friends or whatever.”

They added that “I really just think fans should know his involvement beforehand, so they can choose to tune in or not.”
