it sure as hell wasnt good and who are u callin nikka :why:u havent notice how a lot of his flicks barely have blacks, or a racially laden plot but yet a random character will be made to say something racially derogatory about black folk? :mjpls: what exact purpose did martin scorsesee's character in taxi driver/jack nicolson's monologue at the start of departed serve if not for him to air some deep rooted grievance.

Taxi Driver was written by Paul Schrader, The Departed by William Monohan. Is your grievance with the writing or directing?

I don't require blacks to be in films simply to fill a quota and therefore reject the idea that blacks must be in every movie to prove the director tolerant of them.

Do you believe that New York Italians and Boston Irishman make similar statements to those expressed in Taxi Driver and The Departed on a daily basis?

I hate trailers like this. You literally can't tell what the fukk the movie is about other than some guy made money on wall street and might be kind of eccentric. Unless you've read the story none of the shyt in the trailer really makes sense. I felt the same way about Great Gatsby. Granted, most people read that in school, but if you haven't you literally come away from the trailer like "what the fukk was that shyt"

thats all well and good but those were just 2 examples off the top of my head. There was also a scene in aviator where dicaprio's character is getting shookdown and during the course of the negotiation it is said "what do I look like a nikka" or something to that effect. What in howard hughes life had to do with blacks? absolutely nothing.Like the lines in the movies I mentioned that could've easily been left on the cutting room floor but wasnt. What is the common denominator in all 3 movies? scoresesee directed them. Thats no coincidence cuz there is no director thats pullin that shyt..

For me, this is the PERFECT trailer.

I want as few plot details as possible. The less I know about a film going in, the better the experience.

That said, loved the trailer.

Jonah Hill's single line made me :krs: And Leo looks exceptional. And holy shyt @ McConaughey's career transformation.

Can. not. wait.

Expect the Nword(or other equivalent)to be dropped a minimum of 1 time in the movie. He has to maintain a quota especially to make up for Hugo.

I hear ya but.....Its the basic story of a dude who gets it all then loses it all. With a bunch of cool scenes inbetween. Movie looks good tho.
