:dwillhuh:

One of the goat directors working with one of the goat actors of our generation?

Don't get me wrong, they've only made good movies together but I think their best work in the last ten years has been without eachother

I agree that Leo's best performances have been with other directors (Zwick, Mendes), but Hugo is not better than The Departed, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, or Shutter Island.

:comeon: Scorsese needs to find a new actor to push for his movie, casting Leo for everyone of his movies is getting redundant

Not so easy. Hugo made $185m worldwide and still lost money. Bringing out the Dead and Kundun were flops (financially). Basically, at this point Leo is the only reason most of Scorsese's films are getting financed, and in fact Wolf of Wall Street was Leo's baby (he pretty much bought the rights and recruited Scorsese to film it, similar to what happened with The Aviator).

If Scorsese wanted to make the expensive films he does without casting Leo, he could probably only cast someone comparatively big like Depp, Clooney, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, or Brad Pitt.

Leo trying hard to get that oscar next year... releasing during oscar bait season too :heh:

At this point in his career pretty much every film he makes is gonna get that Oscar vibe because those are just the types of roles he usually shines in. Can't really blame him either its Not like he's "selling out" and doing Titanic sequels.

I aint hating... leo is that nikka :win:
He didnt stand a chance this year even with a nod.. DDL is untouchable.

DDL was up for Best Actor.

If Leo would've gotten nominated he would've gotten in for Best Supporting. He DEFINITELY could've won it this year as I think his performance was a bit stronger than Christophe Waltz's.

Leo and Scorsese NEVER disappoint. The fact that Leo didn't get a Best Supporting Actor Nom (along with Sam Jackson.) for Django is a fukking tragedy. The man is the Nas of the film industry with the way he gets snubbed...

THIS movie though, seems like it might be his ace. The premise plus Scorsese's involvement PLUS the casting seems spot on...

Gatsby & Wolf of Wall Street coming out back to back. This might be his year :win:
