TYRONE GA!
MCU from 2008 to 2019 is never coming back.

With that said, we really do need better quality films again.
and there was a lot of meh during that run too, but the good ones stood out to make you brush off the rest.

But yeah, it's done until they start putting quality into it.

Lmao dude's been pressed about these movies for a minute now. I hate them too but all that mafia shyt he's obsessed about has been run into the ground. Watch his next film be about an Irish bytch marrying into the Colombo family or some shyt.
Way more than mafia movies

I shyt on the MCU way more than him
and I'm still sick of this hating ass nikka
He only talks about it when he is asked by an interviewer and it was only in like three interviews over 5 years. Also he never said he hated:

comic book movies been ass..corny joke after corny joke ..idk how yall stomach 2 hours of that

Spider-man far from home budget = 160 million
The Irishman = 175 million

Not only have the last 2 maybe even 3 Spider-man movies been infinetly more entertaining (better) than that long boring ass movie, some of them cost considerably less to make. Even if you enjoyed the sweet cinema of 80 year old arthtic men damn near hurting themsleves kickin people through candy glass you can't realistically justify it costing that much money for the type of return you're gonna see from that in theaters.

If the 2-3 'marvel movies' a year stopped coming out, they'll be replaced with another type of blockbuster and smaller, narrative driven films will still get the majority of their burn at home theaters. Going to the movies is fukking expensive, especially if you have a family. Be mad at streaming, at capatalism, not the nerds who actually kept the actual theaters open once it started costing too much to not make it an event.

I dont understand scorcese's obsession with hating comic movie.

If u dont like it, fine, dont like it, thats your preference. But why this crusade to make other people not like what u like

It aint spiderman's fault your last good movie was wolf of wallstreet over a decade ago

Scorcese overall is a great filmmaker but that dont make him any less of a crybaby

The 718
actually sounds like scorsese is mad, nothing about superhero movies prevents anybody from watching his latest Deniro mafia flick.
They just had their time, Westerns used to be the the shyt everybody watched, Gangster flicks had literally two peaks, once in the old black and white era, and again during the scorsese prime. martial arts films dominated in the 70s because of bruce lee bringing attention to the genre.
90s gave romantic comedies a solid run on top. Now its superhero flicks. when they finish their run some other genre will take over and dominate.
how it always worked

moreover its more to do with the audience age and taste. Most people in their 30-40s are the primary spenders at the box office. Thats a generation of kids that grew watching an animated version of the mcu with the spiderman, & x-men cartoons sharing a cinematic universe. We getting what WE want right now because it's our time. When gen z hits their 30s & 40s they'll decided want to spend the money on and the industry will cater to them at that point.
And therein lies the problem - our generation are a bunch of arrested development ass folks still clinging to our childhood and not evolving our taste beyond the shyt we grew up on, whereas older generations were actually curious about other genres and those other genres had their space to breathe

Our tastes are our tastes. People deluding themself into thinking their subjective form of art is superior than others is the problem.
