To the OP, my fault for negging you.
I read the first couple lines of the thread and thought that this was one of those anti-black women, "we pawgin", c00nin ass threads.
After reading through the rest, I definitely fukk with what you have to say.
It's not about hating whites....I don't. But I agree with the general assessment that the two races are not really compatible like that, or at the very least, not compatible in a way that benefits black people. Black Americans need sovereignty within America. Huey P. Newton used to write on this a bit I believe, referring to Black America as an "internal, semi-colony".....
And so true about biracials...I know that *some* of y'all are still "down" or whatever...but they can no longer be viewed as long term allies...the connection is dying, and will be completely dead in the upcoming years when the United States racial classification system is more like Brazils. Once again, NOT about hating them...it's just recognizing that the struggles are going in different directions. Black folks are still fighting the same fight we've been fighting for hundreds of years against whites, which is ultimately, to either be recognized as human and fully accepted into their society, or...to just fukking get some damn distance from them and build on our own. Biracials seem to be struggling for what Italian immigrants were struggling over in the early 1900's...to be accepted as true whites and to break away from the "minority" status. Not sure if they will ever get it, but as long as they are collectively fighting for it....I think that black folks need to start holding our cards closer to our chest. I hope that in 10 years....black folks won't look at people like Barack, or Alicia Keys, or even fukking Melissa Harris-Perry as "our" accomplishments.
