Look like you judging it like you started watching it today...

When it was actually showing, not the reruns, wasn't nothing weak or corny about it...
After the 3rd season or so, it wasnt "new and fresh" any more...

The 1st couple of seasons was dat sh!t when it originally aired...

What does that have to do with Pam being lame and Gina being corny?

Its still top 3 alltime black sitcoms, but its support cast was weaker than the others.

Pam was nice eye candy but her jabs at Martin were wack and she got on my nerves with her hating.
Cole was hit or miss.
Gina was so fukking corny and was even cornier when she tried to act like Martin.
However, Tommy was cool, and bruhman is one of the GOATs.

When you compare it to other classic black sitcoms( i dont watch white shows) the supporting cast was lacking.

Fresh Prince you had Geofrrey, Jazz, Carlton and Uncle Phil

Wayans Bros you had Pops, Dupree, TC, White Mike, D
Plus you had two stars and both were funny as hell

Co sign ? :takedat:

Uncle Phil? Are you serious? Pam's ass is WAY more talked about than any fukking Uncle Phil type shyt. Carlton is Carlton...he'll always stand out. Jazz was very unrealistic. And everyone started acting like Martin or took cues from his style by Season 3...everyone. Gina was the most obvious.

It is lame and corny NOW...
Back then it wasn't lame or corny...

If I started watching it today, I would think the same...

I didn't say the show was lame or corny dumbass, i said Pams jokes were lame, and Gina was corny.

I wouldve thought the same if I was born in 1974

For the sloooooooow...
You have your opinion, great, glad for you...
Most cats who I knew watching it did not think Pam looked good or that her jokes were lame...
Nor did they think Gina was corny...:manny:

I agree. Martin and the different characters he played were the big draw of the show. Cole (his incompetent shtick) and Tommy (no job shtick) were funny but nowhere near as funny as anything Martin did.

Outside of Martin, the most memorable characters were not even part of the main cast - bruhman, hustleman, almond joy, old lady that likes to fight, Varnell Hill etc. All better than anyone in the main cast outside of Martin.

Varnell Hill>>>anything the main cast ever did(excluding Martin)
