Whether you practice for the physique, for the ability to beat someones ass, the philosophy, or just because sometimes lifting and running boring as fukk post in here, what's you're style, routines etc

Grappler/muay thai. Grappled because of thought of being ground and pounded out by a wrestler or a cat who likes to scoop slam. Im almost a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu and im considering joining an actual boxing gym so i can get my hands crispier. If you have any questions on how to handle any grappling situation standing or on the ground let me know. i got something to escape pretty much any hold someone could put on you from either position.

I've got a long history with shyt. I started out doing TKD in a mcdojo as a kid. It wasnt a bad one though, we did full contact sparring. In high school i did some wrestling. College I moved into boxing and muay thai, and now i'm studying Bajiquan and Xingyiquan (types of kung fu). I'm mostly a striker, but I do have 4 years of wrestling under my belt. I'm eventually gonna learn more about grappling through Baguazhang, but i'm busy already with this shyt

nice. Yea, i want my grappling to get to a point where i can just start taking more striking arts for the sole purpose of either stuffing takedowns or just not being as concerned when it happens because i can easily get up or sub. Never heard of baguazhang. Will research. I think the best tools for a striker are takedown defense, and getting back to the feet. Theres no point trying to grapple someone who breaths that crap. Alot of grapplers are trash standing and after a few failed takedowns, they will be mentally broken and lost.

interesting.. guy from behind squeezes your right collarbone hard with his left and grabs your right elbow with his right and pulls it back. What Would Mowgli Do?

edit: not collarbone, I mean the ligament between your shoulder and neck

Black belt in Shotokan and Shorin Ryu. Studied some Kyokushin and Goju Ryu as well. Also trained in no-gi grappling(Catch, Greco Roman, BJJ)...would like to study some Judo. Also trained in Boxing and Muay Thai.

You have to understand this man would have to be fast as lighting and strong as HELL with a inhumane grip for this to happen and actually harm me. I say strong as Hell because having a hand dug so deep in a ligament that i cant simply drop my weight down and release the grip is INSANDE strength almost not even human. Usually someone is going to hold this position and pull your arm back, so they can adjust the hand in your collar bone and throw their arm over your shoulder and use their body weight to push you to the ground with your arm extended backwards which will lead you to a position like this

This is a move more suited against women and old people because a man with any kind of strengh i really doubt this is going to happen to let alone someone like me. Heres what i would actually do though

1. You cant let Anyone establish grips on you. I cant stress this enough. You are already losing if someone has a firm grip in the ligaments in your shoulder and has grabbed your elbow. There is at least half a second for someone who is bytchmade to react to being put in this situation before you are at the point of no return. I need less then half a second to react but what would i do?

The Instant feel someone grab my shoulder and arm at the same time from behind im spinning as hard as i can to my grabbed side (really pulling that elbow and shoulder back with me) so my back faces away from my opponent. There is no way in hell they will have a solid grip to prevent me from turning and the instant my eyes identify them as someone i do not know that spin is going to be followed with a punch in the mouth.

Alternative

The instant i feel someone grab my should and arm at the same time i spin in the opposite direction of the grabbed limbs and elbow that jackass in the side of his head/face with no regard for who or what he is as hard as i can. He will probably let go the moment my sharp elbow penetrates his assumed toughness. If he doesnt? The moment my elbow makes impacts i spit hard in the other direction doing the technique i mentioned in my last paragraph. Im out of there.

yeah his intention was to keep me walking except in another direction.. and they were right so i cooperated and sorted it out

but it was surprising as fukk to me lol, completely surprising how quickly he came out of nowhere

need faster reaction times for when the other person is more malicious
