fukk is this corny post-it stuff about? You haven't refuted a damn thing about my post. Faulk has more yards from scrimmage. There's nothing LT did better than Marshall.
You've got to be kidding me

LT yards per carry - 4.3
Faulk yards per carry - 4.3
What are you all about?
You're reading into these yardage stats way too much
Jamaal Charles is the all time leader in yards per carry by a RB, so by your logic not only is he a better runner than both Faulk and LT, but he is by far the greatest runner of all time.
Carson Palmer averages 237 passing ypg, the same as Brett Favre, more than Jim Kelly, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Joe Montana. So I guess when we talk about all time greats you have to throw Palmer in the mix.
4 years of 2000 yards from scrimmage is nice, but even Larry Johnson has 2 seasons of 2000 yards from scrimmage.
You can talk about the stats all you want, but nobody in their right mind will ever say that Faulk was a better runner than LT.
The LT/Faulk argument is one of the most intriguing football arguments there is.
I don't think anyone can have a "hands down" argument over the other.
You just can't.

I thought LT was benefitted off of that TCU offense until I saw that Senior Bowl game where he toyed around with everyone on the field like they were children leaving me likeAgreed
Growing up in Texas, I've been an LT fan since he played at TCU. But I'd give the slight edge to Faulk just bc I think he puts a little more stress on a defense. You can't go wrong with either one, it just depends what style of play you prefer.
But for these Cowboy stans that wanna rank Emmit Smith so high, I gotta hit them with the Emmit was solid, but he would've been Otis Anderson-status if he hadn't played with the GOAT offensive line, a top-notch WR, a monster TE, and one of the best QBs of that era. Give Barry Sanders that supporting cast and
No need for all the hyperbole.
We're comparing two very comparable all-time greats. What does Jamaal Charles have to do with anything? Let's keep it on context here.
YOU'RE the one making the claim that LT was such a better runner, yet the stats prove that Faulk was just as productive carrying the ball as LT was, without some huge disparity in carries (like a Jamaal Charles or any other player you're going to attempt to throw in). (4) seasons of over 2,000 yards from scrimmage is an NFL RECORD, so please stop with these attempts to tie in scrubs.
Exactly how I feel. I go with Faulk cause to me there was nothing he couldn't do on the field. People often overlook how Faulk was the true center of the Rams dynamic offense and the fact he was still able to put up the crazy numbers he did with the talent that was around speaks of his skills.
But then LT did do the same thing for a few years himself and for some time was the lone SD weapon and had defenses keying on him and was still killing it.
Marshall Faulk is Thurman Thomas' son
That's why I hit homeboy with the
Jim Brown is the GOAT and if he's not at least in somebody's top 5 I can't take 'em all that serious
Yeah, there are a TON of guys that run better than the #10 all-time leading rusher in NFL history. fukk outta here.I brought up Jamaal Charles because you posted yards per carry as if it would prove who was the better runner. YPC do not show who the better runner is.
Exactly. Teams knew it was all about LT, and he still punished them. Teams couldnt key on Faulk like that. They couldnt stack the box when you had Warner under center and ****, Bruce and Az Hakim out there for him to throw to. The Rams passed to open the run, not the opposite, and that helped Faulks running. Look at the YPC when he was with the Colts as compared to when he was with the Rams, it shot way up because teams couldnt key on him, whereas everybody knew the ball was going to LT, and he still beasted.
Who's the better overall player? Thats a toss up. But I don't see how in the hell anybody could ever say Faulk is the better runner. There a ton of backs I would take over Faulk in just straight up running ability
