I was going to watch queen and slim tonight but my girl was late getting ready.
we ended up watching this. It was a fantastic flick. My girl was crying throughout the whole film.
All of the acting was incredibly strong. The supporting actors like the mom, both lawyers were phenomenal.
I liked the storyline, it kept it mostly real. And truly showed the ugliness, pain and happiness that marital struggles can bring u.
Both main actors had like 3-4 scenes were they acted non-stop for 4-5 minutes. U barely see that anymore, u got to give props when it’s due.
I loved how there monologue at the beginning kept popping up.
the woman finally drinking tea with her lawyer when she was ready for a true change, the guy turning off the lights on his ex at the moms house but not turning it back on symbolizing how he was finally done being civil with her. He tried to be positive for a while naively.
Also this is just me personally but having the actors exit the main room into a secondary room, drawing you into what they’re speaking about bc u have to hear harder. They did that shyt like 5-6 times and I loved it.
great flick. I’ll wait a couple weeks to discuss the plot sense most ppl haven’t seen it yet. Def a good watch.
