Haven't got the chance to sit down and listen to it yet. Any stories about Tyrone "Fly Ty" Williams? Those YouTube interview on him that @FreshAIG posted is dope as hell.

This was very entertaining, watched the whole shyts.

Hip-Hop collectively owes DJ Polo a big "thank you". He knew EVERY damn body.

Marley basically intimating that he influenced the Miami bass sound....wonder how FL cats feel about that. :ohhh:

Mr. Magic didn't have to do all that to BDP. That was an a$$hole move....and that's not the first time I've ever heard about him bein like that, either. But the story about BDP takin his drums and dissing them over it is CLAAAAASSIC.:russ:

Agreed with @smokeurobinson ....the story about Kane changing rap with "Raw", is totally true especially if you look AFTER the fact.

ALL the stuff he was sayin about music, was on point, especially about how people's brains process shyt and how it's more about your brand and if people like you now instead of it bein just about the music.

Also, he barely said ANYTHING about Fly Ty at all....in fact, I don't think he said dude's name once. So in what interview does Marley talk bad about him?

Luke already said that was bullshyt about Marley awing him with the 808 bass

He said this in the 90's, but Marley is still saying it, so Luke is probably gonna say something again once he hears about it

As far as Kane changing rap, those few years of 1985-1988 changed everything in black culture because that was when Crack/cocaine was getting everyone paid! Because of that ability to buy more things, more average people was looking like the stars, and the enetertainer(rapper) wanted to be like them! The look of the rapper changed, the way they talked on records changed, and then as time went on, even the music changed. I think Crack money is the a major reason rap changed so much between 1986-1996, which means black american culture did as well, at least in NYC

Yo he implied a female fan came through from out of town asking how could she speak to him and dudes took advantage of her  he said that's when he realized he had to get the fukk up out of Queensbridge before they tied his name into some shyt.

On a lighter note, he also implied he was the inspiration behind Miami Bass cause he took an 808 over there and they were impressed by it.

The way he recalled the incident with Mr. Magic was hilarious, dude seemed wild disrespectful. "It didn't have the energy of what we made them come out with, it wasn't 'South Bronx', they regrouped their shyt". :russ:

He said he knew people were slow once "South Bronx" became a hit cause at no did they ever say hip-hop started out in QB. :russ:
