It's tough to have conversations when the average person conflates bigotry with prejudice with racism. Between our own general ignorance and the word police there's isn't much room for error to allow honest expression of our thoughts.

Unfortunately, he's putting all of his on display to defend Sterling and himself by proxy.
As the NBA's most disgruntled owner it makes sense that he'd be wary of setting a precedent of voting outspoken owners out of their ownership stake. He's also saying something that none of the other owners who've known Sterling for years w/o issue have the guts to come out and say. They'll all vote unanimously to kick him out of their club while doing and thinking and acting in private exactly like Sterling. Then we'll all pretend racism is over until the next time somebody steps on somebody's sneakers.
