Seems at times its more popular to rail against an unpopular opinion then actual harmful actions. Its what Bomani Jones was talking about in his rant.Sterling denied housing to people based on their skin color for years with little to no public blowback. He talks greasy about Magic/blacks to his side piece and the country calls for his head.
I don't think that's the point he's trying to make. I actually think that history is why he's going to end up voting to oust Sterling.
break it down for us brother, since Mark only said "black male in a hoody" how did you reach the conclusion that he's only speaking about a certain type of black male in a hoody?
Because its good for business and if he don't I don't think he wants those problems. He said the comments aren't related for what its worth.why would he vote to oust sterling in your opinion? he said that we're all prejudiced to some degree, why would he vote out Sterling?
Being a white male in this country is basically being a scared coward. They obsess over everyone: blacks, mexicans, Arabs. They hate everyone. They know they have shytted on every type of people on the world to get where they are at. Its basically a thought process of: these people are going to get me and probably have a right to bust my head open to the white meat.
Little do they know, other people dont always reciprocate their paranoia or obsession. We are always on their minds. White talk radio is filled of paranoid white males who think the world is out to get them.
I need to reproach myself for only reading the headlines on Cuban.
Here's the video: Mark Cuban talks about bigotry, won't reveal how he'll vote on Donald Sterling | FOX Sports on MSN
Cuban makes a good point, but, not about Sterling.
First, I'm tired of this "We're all racist/bigoted." No, we're not and if we all were, crossing the street is because I'm rockin' a hoodie, is totally different from housing discrimination against scores of ppl and ruining their lives.
He's right, racism will only be dealt with head on and we don't need to pretend they don't exist.
But, here's the problem; why is it that we only talk about racism when something horrible happens? That's the first thing; let's promote the idea that black people are more than the racist stuff we have to deal with.
Right after Sterling is forced to sell and disappears, we'll be back to pretending that America is "post-racial."
Are you making a generalization about an entire subgroup of people whom you have categorized explicitly by race, and attributing certain negative characteristics to all members of said group? Isn't that a bit racist m8?
Because I'm not prone to extreme leaps in logic, why would you assume he meant every black male in the Dallas metro area? Because of some #inherently bullshyt you've seen posted on this site?, because Mark Cuban is white? care to share these clues you gathered.
Cuban is trying to compare Sterling's record (court record, not recording) of racial discrimination to basic pre-judging? Cause if so, there's a huge difference between to the two. Cuban is completely out of line.
He was using a stereotype that is fresh off everyone's mind as an example
How can you not comprehend the point he was making? shyt isn't Shakespeare
