Here's my 0.02¢ in the black community mental health is almost taboo to discuss & people are considered weak for going to see a therapist or psychiatrist.....Alot of black people are afflicted with Agoraphobia, OCD, Or other similar anxiety disorders....This is why weed is so big in the black community it is my theory that folks that frequently use marijuana have undiagnosed mental disorders or something all along those lines it could be something as simple as claustrophobia or another social phobia, in addition to that alot of black people in the hood have had traumatic experiences that has altered them mentally whether seeing nikkaz get killed in front of them, seeing their mothers get beat up, having 12 kick you're door down 6 in the Morning waving machine guns etc....



When I smoke weed ( I hate weed) I have racing thoughts, sweaty palms, nervousness, restlessness, paranoia etc....I have friends who feel this stimuli when sober & when they smoke it goes away, which to me is the reason why prescription drugs like Xanax or lean is big in the hood too because of its soothing & numbing effects


Just my 0.02¢ on marijuanas popularity in the black community....as for religion I think religion has worst ramifications for the community because of the subconscious subservience to white people through Jesus worship & the turning the other cheek mantra, alot of churches have the biggest c00ns & charlatans too like TD JAKES, CREFLO DOLLAR, JOEL OSTEEN, RIP BISHOP EDDIE LONG MOLESTING THOSE BOYS smh....there was a book called "spies of Mississippi" where the governor of Mississippi used a coalition called the "Mississippi State sovereign commission" & recruited black spiritual leaders to subvert the efforts of the Civil Rights movement to end segregation, how many of these so called spiritual leaders are still doing this in our community??? I don't wanna know the answer

Atleast with marijuana,we can open up dispensaries and buy amongst ourselves (IF done right). We can't do that with Christianity..and then we wonder why the Pastor riding around in a damn Ferrari while nikkas are out here struggling to keep the lights on. The same religion that kept us mentally and physically shacked for 400 years and counting. Also,Marijuana helps treat cancer...meanwhile, a prayer can't and WON'T.

Religion by far because its an institution. It shapes how people perceive the world around them. It shapes how critical people think. Shapes how people treat other people. And it indoctrinates people so early in life that it takes a happy coincidence of experiences/self discovery to break the programming.
