It's as I said previously - no Joker no draw.
Sucide Squad box office success was based on Will Smith, the DC universe connection and the cameos.
We were led to assume with the trailers the Joker also had a significant role.

An all female cast pandering to neo nazi feminists - pass.
Hollywood should take a hint already.

I just want to know who choreographed them fight scenes :whew:

Edit - it was jon valera dudes track record is hit and miss.

'Birds of Prey' has superteam behind the scenes: Asian American fight choreographers
I'll praise the film for this. It was super refreshing, but set design, editing, and choreography didn't complement the action as it should. They where A+ choreography/fight scenes, but the shaking zoomed in camera, quick cuts, and gimmick set design brought the scenes down.

What movie you watched? There was no shaky cams OR quick cuts in the action scenes at all.

The big final action set piece at Amusement mile. It was pretty noticeable.

There wasn't any shaky cam..... and that big set piece was long continuous cuts which was a bit impressive of how it was choreographed. I think you mean when the camera moved from one character to another character with all that was going on at the same time. But that wasn't shaky came or even quick cuts... that was long continuous cut with the camera moving from character to character.

i don't really care if this movie does well or "bombs," but "making it's budget back" is not exactly what studios are looking for when releasing comic book movies, especially shyt like this that connects to a bigger picture. i'm sure when they decided to make a Harley Quinn movie - the character every ugly white chick in America dresses up as - they expected to make more money then they are making. Joker making a billion probably makes them feel better though. "it's not connected" i know, shut up.

It literally is bombing.

Its projected to make $34 million Ow. if it has legs like Shazam this will make less than 100 million domestically. It's not doing well internationally either.

The budget being $80-90 million doesn't include marketing which could be another 80 million. it legit might not make $300 million worldwide.
It made 33mil Thursday so it might make 100-150mil total over the weekend:yeshrug:

I suspected this movie might be in trouble when I couldn't tell who anybody was despite the fact that i'm familiar with most of the main chars due to seeing them in other shows like the ol justice league/united cartoon which i've probably re-watched over 10 times. I just don't get it, why do a live action version of something if you're going to stray so far from the source material that its unrecognizable. For fukk sake, I didn't even know black mask was even in this movie until recently because I never see McGregor wear the mask in the promo/trailers. Not sure why this movie is rejecting the use of pseudo-comic accurate costumes, especially since that's been one of the strong points about the DCEU.

Wouldn't say it's a bomb for the studio considering we don't know how much of WB's actual money they spent on this. Like for Joker they only funded half of the budget, the rest came from Scorsese's Prod. Company, Todd Philips & Bradley Cooper which is why they got a large cut in the end.
