First thing. They said fukk Jared Leto!

They bushed his ass

. They didn’t even make the animated Joker in the beginning of this shyt, and the picture Harley uses as her knife throwing target, the Jared Leto version

.
So what did I like? Harley. She was Harley and it's clear that Margot Robbie loves this character, and wants a future playing her. On a side note, I can already envision that some people in the fandom, will compare her portrayal, with the Harley in the animated show. More on that later.
Black Canary. Jurnee Smollett did a good job with the character. Despite the race bending, if you anyone has an issue with that, I think she fits the character very well. I do have my issues though.
The action. There was plenty of it and it was good. Violent for sure. Very violent. Not like how the critics depicted it though.
There will be comparisons between this and Joker. I will go so far as the say that the critics are fukking hypocrites. Granted, I understand the climate were in, but they're clearly choosing which murdering psychopath to fawn over.
Now for the rest of this shyt
Birds of Prey should be nowhere in the title of this movie. It should have just been called Harley Quinn. They don't even come together until like the last 25 minutes of the movie.
Harley. I just have to say this. How in the fukk, does she blow up the entire Ace Chemical plant, probably killed hundreds of people, and doesn't get the attention of Batman

. In fact, no one is acting like they're afraid of getting on Batman's radar. Wasn't he branding people only a few years ago

. Hell,

is across the fukking river in Metropolis

.
Huntress is a waste and is barely in this movie. I don't even think she had two minutes of dialog. I may be exaggerating, but that's what if felt like. I didn't have a problem with the origin in this movie. It's a much lighter one than the comic book version. I like this one better just because I'm not cool with the rape of six year old girls. That shyt wasn't needed and was from a time when they were trying to emulate Alan Moore's dark take on The Killing Joke too much. So just having her witness her family being killed, and the bodyguard raising her and training her is fine. It's just that in this movie, it adds nothing to the story and could have been cut for time, and to give Huntress more to do. Instead she's nothing more than a bad ass chick who kicks ass. A living set piece.
Renee Montoya. A victim of too many characters. This is a female focused movie. It's from the point of view of women and their experiences. So I wasn't feeling any type of way about her a$$hole captain who took all the credit for her work, and the a$$hole men in the GCPD. If you're a fan Batman, you already know the the GCPD is corrupt as hell. I feel that they are relying on the audience to maybe know that knowledge going in, because they're all just a$$holes to be a$$holes. It's a bit over the top, because there's not even one person, that's like her dude. Even her ex girlfriend from the DA's office is a cowardly mousy punk who sells her out. Also, wasn't really feeling Rosie Perez and Renee Montoya. More on that later.
Black Canary. Like I said, I liked her. I liked her a lot. Jurnee

. It's a motherfukking shame that she didn't have more screen time

. The one really likable character in the movie. But she get nerfed. More on that later. Other than budget reasons, I don't get why you would have a metahuman, as powerful as her, and not have somewhere in the story, why she doesn't use her powers. Because in the final act, when Black Mask says fukk these bytches, and gets an army of goons to go after them, she could have easily dispatched all of them while they clustered together. There is a backstory, and I'm going to assume that her mother is the original JSA version of Black Canary. With The Batman apparently being set in the 90's, it's possible we may see another Black Canary in the DCEU. Maybe even a younger version of Renee Montoya.
Black Mask. Didn't have a problem with him being gay, or implied. It really had no impact on the story, other than just being diverse. He's just another Gotham City psychopath, who just so happens to be queer. I did like that they went with making him a man, who is clearly queer, but also hates women. Gay men get too much of a pass for being women's bestest friends, when they can be just as misogynistic as straight men. You can tell that he hates women. When he thinks a woman in his club is laughing at him, he makes her dance on the table, and forces her boyfriend to cut her dress off. Which gave off the creepy vibe they was going for. I just feel that they could have done more with him, had there not been so many characters in the movie. He could have been a solid villain. But I'm also biased here because Black Mask is one of my favorite Batman Villains.
Casandra Cain. Why they chose to make her Casandra Cain is beyond me. She could still very well be the daughter of Lady Shiva and David Cain, but they could have really just named her something else, and it would not effect anything.
Victor Zsasz. This is a minor Batman villain. So I really did not give any fukks about him at all. He could have been any old goon and it would not have mattered.
The plot/story. To me it was all over the place. Like the inside of Harley's mind. I don't mind flashbacks. I would be a hypocrite about it, because I liked the use of flashbacks in Deadpool. Which if anything, is the movie this should be compared to. In this movie though, the use of the flashbacks took up too much time, and for me, killed the flow of the story. The whole time watching the movie I was just waiting for them to get to the point. The shyt was just so fukking meandering. It was trying to be an action comedy, and show that women can do this to, which it did, it just did not stick the landing for me. The movie needed to be as long as it was, but it could have greatly benefited from one or two characters being cut. Outside of Black Canary, I really did not like any of the characters in this movie. With Huntress I didn't get a chance to like her because she was barely in it. For Renee, I just could not find myself giving a shyt enough about what she was going through. Casandra was just another sassy ass young teenager. Black Mask was kinda interesting. Harley was Harley, but yeah, I can see why everyone wanted to kill her ass

. While he's a manipulative, murdering psychopath, I understand why Joker dumped her. She's fukking annoying piece of shyt person. She belongs in Arkham.
More on that later: I really get the impression that Margot Robbie, as the producer of this movie, made sure that the other women in the movie were short changed with screen time, or got actresses who would not outshine her in the looks department. She made sure that this was her movie. This is why there was no Poison Ivy in the movie. Which is what this movie needed. Her homegirl to be on some Thelma and Louise shyt. Plus Harley needs a straight woman/man, no pun intended, to balance her out. But that would mean sharing the spotlight, with another A-List Batman villain. But they're not going to short change Poison Ivy. Plus budget, and in no way would the final scenes go down the way they did, with someone as OP as Ivy. Instead of Renee Montoya, it could have had Barbara Gordon. But that would be another A-List Batman character, and they're not going to short change her. So they fed Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, and Casandra Cain (Batgirl #2) to Harley. The shyt isn't about girl power. It's about Harley power. Those other bytches, are just accessories.
Anyway, this is all just the opinion of one guy on the internet
