Career defining play. He won't be remembered for anything else if the Saints don't win a Superbowl. He certainly won't be forgiven anytime soon. Took Red Sox fans damn near 30 years before Buckner was accepted back into the fold by the base.
He'll be alright. Its football and he wears a helmet on at all times plus he can change his number

wrote it in the other thread, I'll paste it here too.

New Orleans Saints Marcus Williams last tackle was weak. But, If you watch it closely, instead of the receiver's catch, it seems to be an obviously poorly timed tackle and just bad in technique. I think the deeper question is, why?
1. He was paid off by Vegas bookies to blow the play.
2. He was playing injured, but didn't want to tell it to the trainers or coach. If you can't play with an injury not involving a concussion or major injury, it looks 'bad' that you can't play through the pain. I've read about this before. If this was the case and it might be, you can see Marcus going straight for the tackle instead of sideways. This tells me his agility was compromised where he couldn't push off diagonally, only forward. I don't know, ankle or leg injury.

So Vegas bookies knew it would come down to the last play and called the Saints sideline to tell him to miss the tackle. :comeon:

Please tell me you’re trolling

You know what I see why he went for the big hit instead of the wrap up. The Vikings had a time out and they could have it a field goal. He wanted to dislodged the ball. Wrap up, time out, field goal, Saints lose..its not as bad as it seems.
