:what:

Rules get changed because of demand all the time. Honestly, I think you're making this argument because you wanna do what REALLY needs to happen. Nobody does because that would make the game less entertaining.

example?

the NBA changed its rule for player eligibility to limit demand. MLB did the same thing to with PR players.

And I dont know how it makes the game less entertaining by having players who are ready to play in the NFL, play in the NFL.

and what REALLY needs to happen is to pay players in college, but since that wont happen, allowing them the choice of entering the NFL after their freshman year is a better alternative. An alternative I dont believe that many players would take advantage of because I dont believe that many teams would actually select most players because most are not ready.

Big Nino down the block is a beast defensive end. He only in the 10th grade but he 6'5 250 already. they should let him go ahead and play at Texas next year. He's ready.

I feel bad for Marcus and his fam :to:

Its crazy how these commentators think this is just about him not being able to play football, when its DEEPER THAN THAT.

Its about being a young black man from the Deep South in which your ancestors overcame slavery and destined for abject poverty for over a hundred years more and now you have the opportunity to change that as a young man through God given talent and determination and for it to be taken away from you in one second. The look on madukes face had me :sadcam:

South Carolina owes Marcus MILLIONS for elevating their backwards program from the Dark Ages. Its stuff like this makes people realize the system needs to change.

After the game Spurrier was on some "oh well" type ish..... "I wish Marcus luck in the future"....im sitting there like :mindblown: forget football I hope this young man can walk.

Yeah, his attitude was disgusting. Treating Marcus like he was a race horse or something.

This SH!T is an American Tragedy.

Damn I hate it for dude. Even tho I'm an auburn fan he seems like a genuine good guy. I seriously think it's impossible to dislike him, I just hope he can heal up and make it.

As much as I hate Carolina, I share the same opinion. He comes across as humble and seems like a good kid. He lost a lot of money today, hate to see that happen to anybody

That aint a bad idea to me. Most people cant do it but some special players can. You cant tell me Adrian Peterson couldnt play in the league after one year.

agree, an "exceptional player rule"

the ohl (ontario hockey league) up here has that, you have to be 16 to play in the ol

and this is what it does you have to be 16 to play in the ohl, but the exceptional player rule allows kids as young as 14/15 to be drafted into the ohl

As part of the rule, a strict set of guidelines was created and a specific criteria added to not only ensure the player was ready to be in the league, but also allow those worthy to play early and ensure no ugly incidents with a player not wanting to report to the team poised to pick him first overall.

Each time a player applies for exceptional status, the process is administered by Hockey Canada with a Special Evaluation Panel created to help evaluate the player on a multitude of levels.

It’s not just hockey that the panel focuses on as academic documentation and assessments of the players physical and mental maturity are also a very large part of the consideration in the process of reaching a decision. According to the Ontario Hockey Federation the process is an extensive evaluation of all aspects of the player’s life and not just a hockey decision.

Reportedly, another big part of the evaluation is whether the player would be the top overall selection, how they handle pressure, if they’re willing to report to where they’re chosen and if the team possessing the top pick would commit to selecting him.

interviews and psychological examinations to the submission of reports from teachers, hockey coaches and scouts.
