What he said was so important, that it feels that other well-known spaces e.g. Starbucks do not feel like welcoming spaces for black people or brown people.
Imagine what you have to do as a society to convince most white people that black people don't read - it's of course complete nonsense but it's another contributing factor in us being seen as dumb, as aggressive etc.
