Think it's because Luka is soooooo slow that it's like trying to hit an off-speed pitch in baseball.

You're expecting him to be slow but he's somehow a step or two slower even than what you think he'll be.

These are the convos I love about basketball. It has more versatility and more different types of skills than any other sport.

Historically, all stars had different strengths and weaknesses to their game. A bunch of little subtle shyt that can separate a 30ppg type dude from a 21ppg type of dude.

Most perimeter players are a combination of shooting and slashing, but they all do it so differently. Makes basketball by far the most entertaining sport in the world imo.

It's all about pacing. Some players have it and some don't the Mavs have to players that just play at their own speed in Kyrie and Luka and their own speed is so much different from each other it's sometimes hard to adjust to either. Yin and Yang on a basketball court.

Steps up to defend Kyrie, lob to Gafford. Second play. Gafford sets screen for Luka. again Mcdaniels beat, Rudy forced to make a decision, Easy lob again for Gafford. One thing I noticed is that Mcdaniels has to do better fighting over the screens. And Kat has to be the last line of defense so if Rudy has to step up, there's no easy lob for Gafford. How would you guys defend this?

Put two on the ball and make them make a pocket pass before Gafford gets rolling down hill. Once Kyrie or Luka in the lane your at a disadvantage. Make the big make the play.

The ESPN machine is so desperate for the next American superstar that they keep hyping up very good players who aren't quite "great" yet: Booker, SGA, Tatum, Ja, Ant etc.

Luka been an elite PROFESSIONAL player for about a decade now if you include his Euro League experience. These other dudes are just now starting to do what he's been doing for a hot minute. They lumping them together because of age but he's on a different tier.

Sorta like how NFL fans will shyt on Dak and say Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Jackson etc are better but...Mahomes is on his own tier separate from them other dudes and shouldn't be lumped in.
