You’re so right

I feel like Minny might get the next one maybe two games to “make it interesting “ I wouldn’t be shocked if a total sweep happens though.
They hired Tony Brothers to make the series longer and they still lost. It's over.

shyt is 2017 or 2015 bad when nothing was worth watching in conference finals. I thought the league has parity, yet conference finals suck like it's Bron Cavs and Curry Warriors all over again :russ:

Seems like that’s been the thing these past couple playoffs.. they start off good then the conference finals and conference finals end up being mediocre or bad.

Once in a while we see a team that has no business being in conference finals, which is Indiana Pacers.

But Timberwolves they look so disappointing here. They beat Denver and they checked out mentally like this was their plan of the season, to beat the champions. They made Denver tired now they are the ones looking tired. Need to rethink their strategy next season and working on their conditioning. Not saying it's Thibs levels of bad, but they have plenty of decent players off the bench, they should be able to look fresh after couple series.

Gafford is a 6'9", undersized Ben Wallace type big...you'd think Tin Man Towns would stop bricking 3's and bring his 7 foot ass down to the block. Why not exclusively post up Towns and let him work?

Does Towns still know how to bang down low or is he too p*ssy?

KAT isn't really that strong....he can't really back down stronger wings let alone strong bigs

He doesn't even have the quickness to get around defenders on drives....so he needs his shot to fall to get defenders to jump at his fakes to get driving lanes

No team has ever come down from 3-0 and it's not going to happen now, so no need for people to try and speak it into existence.

Just last year Boston practically had it in the bag with Game 7 at home until they decided to play with both hands fully wrapped around their own necks. The fact that it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't - no one had come back from 3-1 down in the Finals until they did. It isn't likely of course, but some of the ingredients are there.

That was only the 4th time in history that a was able to take it to 7. It rarely happens and people shouldn’t try and speak it into existence until it’s an actual 7th game and the real possibility is there.

If Lively is hurt, this is the way for Minnesota to get back into the series. Just go crazy down low against Gafford and Washington, tire them out and get them into foul trouble. Dallas doesn't have good backup options at all if they don't have Lively.

They should get the calls in Game 4, especially considering the NBA wants to extend the series and not have a huge break. Then Game 5 at home. If the Timberwolves win a couple and get their confidence up, and are going into Game 6 with Lively still out and the Mavs struggling to defend inside, it could get spooky.
That would be my call as well but we know Minnesota don’t make adjustments.

What a onference finals. Nothing to watch here pretty much until June 7th

Mavs missed the playoffs with Luka and Kyrie. What they did is apparently they made excellent complementary piece trades. Sort of what they did with Dirk Mavs when they finally gave him more defensive guys like Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, etc.

Hornets gotta be looking stupid as hell. PJ looked kinda underwhelming in Charlotte, now he's a 3rd option on a championship contender. Oh word?
There are others like him and Gafford that are decaying on other treadmill teams across the league. These guys would flourish and play much better like these two if they get traded to teams like Dallas, who have expectations to contend.

Well I'm gonna try. What you gonna do about it? :martin:

There are a lot of ingredients there:

1. Two teams more evenly matched than the 3-0 results would indicate.

2. An injury that could change the dynamic.

3. Two elite players on the trailing team that haven't played to their potential yet.

4. A leading team that hasn't been here before.

It isn't likely of course, and besides the difficulty of winning four straight games, the biggest issue is that no one trusts Minnesota mentally. But there's a switch there to be flipped if they can figure out how to do it, and if they do there's no reason they couldn't get the favored team in each remaining game.
