The way you spot the truly great ones is when there is something about a player you just don't like on a personal level and you're looking for them to fall on some true hatorade sh*t running through your veins and they just won't stop coming through and winning no matter what.

This is one overlooked failure of Minnesota in this series. Ant is wasting energy trying to guard Kyrie and 1v1 PJ Washington... while Luka is resting. Whereas vs the Clippers (Harden) and Thunder (Shai), Luka was hunted and forced to play defense.

They roll with the he's injured/feeling better narrative but notice he's suddenly fresher to finish games and make all his freethrows in this series, now that he just has to play 1 side of the court?

These "tired" excuses are pathetic

Ant expends too much energy on defense too early, and it takes a toll. It's hard to play both sides of the ball at a high level, which is why so few players can do it.

He needs to be great on offense throughout the game, and they can accept him average on defense until it's time to really lock up. He needs to pick his spots on defense until he gets in physical shape and develops the willpower to do it consistently.
