Like I said in the anime thread, couldn't help myself and started reading JJK and got caught up. This shyt is great, though I believe the aftermath of Shibuya and the arc (s?) are gonna be real indicative of how good the author is.
So far though, he basically took one of MHA's main plot points - the mentor is OP and the whole structure of the country/world revolves around him keeping evil in check - and made it WAYYY better. Also, the world of sorcerers, their rules, backstory and the logics of the powers/fights are very compelling. Almost every side character is dope or funny as shyt (or both, like Todo) and the fights are great. shyt gets demonic so damn fast
This family's/clan's beef is some
shyt. Really interested in how the author expands on it after this arc. I hope we don't get too much of an "Attack on Politics" type of sidetrack.
The Getou/Gojo relationship
My only complaint is Mahito. I probably feel like this because I binge read the whole thing in a couple of days but his trolling got old fast, specially because dude kept getting asspull powerups. This "final" fight with Yuji was ridiculous, so he finally "got" the true essence of his soul and got like 2 chapters out of it after alllll this killing and trolling?
it's the only character that ended up feeling way too forced just because he "had" to be Itadori's main rival.
Itadori's everyone family
That's what I did, shyt is flames
