YES

weed culture and the demand for buds with pumped up THC levels has ruined marijuana

the thing about weed is it aint just the THC, its the fragile blends of cannabinoids that all work together to get you to that magical place

when you force a plant to only breed certain characteristics you end up with shytty dispensary bud in 2024

thankfully we have a good 'grower' scene down here in OK (small farms, family farms, etc) so we can get good bud if you know where to look

i blame THC-A and delta-8 for this nonsense

I've had real Lemonchello and Black Cherry Runtz (sold a whole bow to a nikka on here years ago) and Mochi. I could tell you those strains by the smell specifically, I ain't gotta know beforehand.

The thing is, those same strains are coming out gassy now. Not every time, but shyt like Black Cherry Runtz ain't supposed to have a gassy smell AT ALL. It's dark, dank, and cherryish. shyt should not be gassy.

That's the shyt I'm tripping about, these dudes are getting bad seeds or the fertilizer ect they are using us making the plants finish up with the same scents.

My shop got a warehouse and I'm cool with the owner, they don't smell like that during the grow.

Something is going on with the grow process.

Black cherry gelato and mochi should never have a gassy smell… ever… sound like they repackaging shyt to you but ill let you rock

You will not get stoned on dispo. Almost impossible now these days. You will get high but you won’t be stoned. People get caught up in the cosmetic and the smell, all the while the grower’s only concern is initial potency, growth cycle and profit margins. You could argue what happened to chicken or livestock in general in its early stages of industrialization are relevant to weed and the change in perception amongst the masses.

The TRUTH is that growers go for strains that produce the most grams per watt of light consistently. Especially commercial growers which is what you get in dispos.

If you want exotic strains, you have to pay more and find growers who invest heavily in genetics and charge more so they aren't worried about gram per watt.

Sativa vs indica is hippy science and categorically false. Everything is a hybrid anyway and fat vs skinny leaves have zero correlation to how the endo cannabinoids system interacts and the affects. Factors such as sleep, stress, mood, placebo and diet have a way larger effect on how the high hits.

i cant walk around midtown manhattan at 2pm because it stinks like weed. if i walked around with a modelo at 2pm people would call me an alcoholic, not sure why potheads get a pass. disgusting.
