This is the type of ego trip that usually ends up in someone being killed. This time it just happened to be a cop with an ego and a rag tag bum who doesn't understand the law. This petty bullshyt could have been resolved by either party making an attempt to understand the other. And either party admitting their over reaction. But this is America people and the know it all-know nothing has to make his point. And the ego trippin walgreens cop has to make a point...


I used to always bump heads with authority figures, especially if I thought they were bytch made. A friend told me one day, "Respect the position, not the man..." Made shyt a little easier to let go. Gotta fight these battles a little differently.

agree with you on everything except the authority figure part...cause thats part of the issue, these guys dont have any authority over anybody...he was not elected...he also is not related to me, hes not my father or anything like that...so its a mystery to me that he would even talk to me in that tone and cursing...and I was not shoplifting either....in fact I have been shopping there for over 2yrs without any issues since the store is only a few blocks from my apartment.

so no I dont agree with the authority figure part...if that was the issue and why he felt he could treat me that way than he's got tons of issues

the only authority he should have is over his ability to do his job, which is funny because that store usually has homeless/drug addicts trapping for small change right in from of the store...it sometimes would be a few of them and they make it very uncomfortable to even go into the store and shop...why isnt he kicking them off the premise? why try to act tough on regular paying customers...I mean that goonish security dude cant get away with that man...no way

I understand what you're saying but That guy has a gun and he's probably an off duty cop so he has certain authority to use it. An authority that he may feel entitled to, why jaw jack with a big headed cop after the point is made. It can become a real bad lose - lose situation. After he got his way, he can be happy he won, but his anger and ego got the best of him.

A lot of cops are dikks with huge sensitive egos, and it's best to avoid them when possible, not engage their ignorance.

That dude diid not hire himself to work at walgreens he was placed there for a specific reason which does not include harassment of costumers and using profanity....I MEAN WHAT HAPPENED TO PROFESSIONALISM? should we all be fearful to shop at local stores cause the security guards might be crazy? I dont think we should not let things like that keep going...we have access to smart phones with great recording capabilities and my thing is we should use them to our advantage as quality control....rather then use them for shock value or stuff like the world star crowd I think intelligent use of the camera by civilians could expose these issues and began to put them in check...thats my take

and as far as him having authority as an off duty cop...that actually may not be accurate...they can only function in their security guard capacity other wise he would have to go through different procedures, besides I was not committing any criminal act I was only standing my ground against an unprofessional, goonish dude who tried to kick me out of the store without a valid reason

now I will wait to see what corporate heads at walgreens say after they get hold of the footage

You can still be arrested by an off duty officer, but my bigger concern is that this fool is ego -tripping and ends up pulling his weapon. Which he has no right to do, but I'd rather not go through the getting shot part. His professionalism was already in question when he was talking about stickin his foot in his ass and throwing him out. When it gets like that, it's best to go about you business and make the formal complaint in the morning. Because no matter what he captures on video, if he starts to tussle with that cop, he's the one that's going to jail, or worse.

I absolutely think you're right. If you spend money there and you're not being a jagoff, you should be treated with respect.But don't start going nose to nose with a dikkhead with a gun and badge.

The same type of shyt happened to me a long time ago. A old white redneck ass dude at this gas station refused to sell me a black and mild because he though I was buying it for my friend who didn't have his id (I was, but it was an assumption by the clerk) Anyway, I'm like "you can't deny me service" But this motherfukkka was all rude and shyt. He felt overwhelmed at the way I was articulating myself and threatened to call the police on me

I was actually on Felony probation at the time, but I told buddy to call em. I told I wasn't scared of the fukking police, and told him he was racist. So I'm waiting for the cops to get to the gas station, while my boys looking like

The police came asking me for my ID bytch nikkas ran my name, seen I was on probation, then proceeded to ask me was I on probation. I said "you just ran my name didn't you? Why you asking questions you know the answer to?" The cops were being super a$$holes. This fool asked me could he search me, I was like, of course not

I told him straight up, that I ain't worried bout no damn police, and made it a point to stay after the clerk threatened to call the police on me. The police told me that they had the right to refuse me service. I told them fine, I didn't know that, and now that I know, I'm cool. But I wasn't just about to let a muthafukka scare me off by saying he was gonna call the cops. And I actually though that he couldn't refuse me service.

The whole time my boys was on some cause I used to always be trying to prove a point and shyt. If the same situation happened to me now, I would just leave. It ain't even worth it. We just need to start boycotting establishments that treat us fukked up, simple as that.

yeah you might be right about the spending issue... as far as catching an 'L' however that security dude might feel good about himself now till this footage gets into the hands of walgreens corporate, his bosses at the company that hired him and a hungry lawyer, you might actually change your opinion after I am through with that dude-(Ill be sure to keep everybody posted)

An example has to be set now before all common respect and decency for paying customers is gone in this society cause thats really the issue ( and no I dont think just shopping at another store is necessarily the answer when there aren't that many pharmacies near by)

no one should be treated like that without some repercussions...I mean as a brotha I have to go with my camera everywhere I shop now just to be assured of some quality control...this footage is actually light (as tay roc would say) compared to many previous incidences...some I was able to record (which I may share in the future, especially the post office ones) but many others went unrecorded

its amazing how a rude and disrespectful costumer service rep change their tune once you tell them that you are recording

its a shame that our society has come to that...none the less we need to start establish some form of citizen quality control with all these gadgets and forums we have at our disposal...(rather them use them for not really useful stuff)...so I do want to thank every body for reading and responding...I appreciate every word of encouragement

I think that coupled with corporate write ups and recorded footage like this we may start to actually get quality control back and actually enjoy shopping for a change
