i agree... it's basically a combination of putting too much stress on your body
these dudes, up until 20-30 years ago... was just fukking off, hitting the gym after practice and training camp, and busting their ass on the field.. you just look at older eras, nobody is built, all cut up, like now a days. maybe a slim few
nowadays 5th round draft pics are looking like the rock out here.. they been playing since 5.. year round sports, 2-3 sports.. by the time they hit middle school, they are already focus training, drinking proteins, taking supplements....
and by college/pro they have on season programs, off season, specialized doctors, hyperbolic chambers, special equipment, pads, shoes, gloves to make the body do this, that, and the other.. the workouts are harder, they got way more of them, these dudes are putting all types of shyt in their bodies.. and still working them hard 24/7 so that we now have qb's like kaep, looking bigger than linebackers of the 60s
but genetically we are the same humans we always been. we are just pushing ourselves (well they are) to the limit... and sometimes when you got the needle at the limit, you go over and POP
