Tesla is not a good example. Dude was prolly getting taken advantage of so badly cause he was crazy, having hallucinations in the middle of the day and shyt. Not to mention he prolly was not in it to make money. When they told him Marconi was moving forward with the radio based on his work Tesla told them "Marconi is a good fellow. Let him continue. He is using seventeen of my patents." 
But as a general rule the real talented gotta employ some cutthroat business savvy mf to secure the bag. Not too many artists can be like Jay Z and maneuver that lane themselves without falling off or getting finessed.

tesla is the goat. basically invented the radio too. fbi raided his shyt when he died and he may have been murked..lotta rumors and even wild conspiracies implicating a young hw bush. two government officials visited him in his hotel room and then he was found dead.
